This morning, we delivered a presentation on 'The Building Safety Act - Stepping Through the Gateways' during our online live webinar in partnership with The UKAA ❗

We had over 130 registrants and focused on the risks and issues to be considered regarding information capture and on-going management through the new Gateway Regime as detailed within the Act.

Yesterday, we continued our Building Safety series live webinar event with The British Property Federation on the Building Safety Act 2022.

We were joined by Shoosmiths, as we focused on a case study from our experience of working with several clients, owners, managers and investors and how they have developed solutions to the challenges the Act brings and what compliance looks like.

In May 2022, the National Fire Chiefs Council (NFCC) published an insightful article providing the industry with the necessary guidance related to Fire Risk Assessments.

To help, the NFCC put together a simple infographic as a way to illustrate recommendations based on the height of buildings.

Ark was delighted to be invited to Ballymore's inaugural Away Day to present on legislation changes that will affect the management of high-rise residential buildings!

Last Thursday, attendees from Ballymore listened to our Senior Director, David Hills deliver a session on The Fire Safety Act 2021 and the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022 at One Canada Square in London’s Canary Wharf.

The Ballymore initiative has been implemented to bring employees together, share best practices and increase the knowledge of the workforce.

Today marks the 5th anniversary of the tragic Grenfell Tower disaster.

Today we remember the 72 lives lost, their families and those still affected by the fire.

It is crucial for those responsible for the safety of buildings to ensure their buildings remain fully compliant and safe for occupants at all times. The government has introduced new regulations such as the Fire Safety Act 2021 and Building Safety Act 2022 which we hope will bring forth a significant change in the industry.

Ark will continue to support the industry in building pathways to compliance in order to avoid another disaster as such!
