Our Five Favourite July Flowering Plants for UK Gardens 🌿

July is when the garden truly comes alive, with vibrant colours, pollinators buzzing, and perennials reaching their peak. Here are some of our favourite summer performers that bring beauty, structure, and wildlife value to UK gardens:

🌼 Achillea sp. (Yarrow) – A tough and versatile perennial with flat flower heads that provide excellent structure and complement grasses and other summer plants.

🌺 Echinacea purpurea (Coneflower) – A real summer star with bold, daisy-like flowers that attract bees and butterflies. Perfect for sunny borders and naturalistic planting schemes.

🌸 Penstemon sp. – Loved for their elegant flower spikes and long flowering season. Available in a range of colours, they add charm and movement to any border.

💜 Salvia nemorosa – Reliable, aromatic, and loved by pollinators. Their rich purple, blue, and pink flowers create stunning summer displays.

🌿 Verbena bonariensis – A favourite for contemporary and prairie-style gardens. Its tall, airy stems bring height, movement, and a beautiful see-through quality.
