Fresh Start are looking for an Education Specialist to work with a 10-year-old student in Ashford, Surrey. He has global developmental delay, ADHD and can self-harm when he's overwhelmed. His behaviours will be managed by the staff of the care home he lives in, but it'll still take somebody special to engage and teach him. They also have other students in this area that are in desperate need of support.

Key information
• 3-month contract working every Tuesday, Thursday & Friday (3 hours per session)
• Sessions take place in Ashford, Surrey at the student's residential home
• Deliver personalised academic and engaging lessons centred around the young person's needs & interests.

What we’re looking for
• At least 3 years’ teaching and SEN experience (you don’t need to be qualified)
• Unwavering commitment to Safeguarding

Pay
• Paid up to £30 per hour (this is based on your qualifications and length of experience)
• Additional pay for planning as well as subsidised food, travel and expenses.
• Paid PAYE so no need to worry about creating your own invoices

We are looking for passionate, hard working and experienced tutors to work with a number of our students throughout West London. Our young people come with a range of special needs, such as ASD or ADHD, and require understanding, empathy and a non-judgemental approach. On a 1:1 basis, you'll be supporting our students with their educational, social and emotional development by utilising your creative and engaging skills.

Key information:
You'll be part of Fresh Start's cohort of national tutors working on a bank staff contract.
You'll have the opportunity to support other students with their education being matched based on your location, availability & experience.
Placements are scheduled to run for 6 weeks, with 2 to 5 session each week but this may vary.
Sessions can be between 3 and 5 hours in length.
Tuition takes place in a student's home or a public setting, such as a library.
You'll plan & deliver bespoke learning programmes centred around the young person's needs & interests.
