For all the women I love in their 40s, their lives are both insanely beautiful and insanely hard.
To start to try and make sense of this messy middle, I have committed myself to a 30 day writing project starting today. I hope to make sense of my own feelings and to connect with other who feel the simultaneous contraction and expansion of this stage—often without words to describe it, and without the community to share it with. I hope these letters spark conversation, connection, and kinship, helping us navigate this liminal space together.

For all the women I love in their 40s, their lives are both insanely beautiful and insanely hard.
To start to try and make sense of this messy middle, I have committed myself to a 30 day writing project starting today.

In writing love letters to “dear Warrior Women”, the hope to make sense of my own feelings and to connect with other midlife women who feel the simultaneous contraction and expansion of this stage, often without words to describe it, and without the community to share it with.

I hope these letters spark conversation, connection, and kinship, helping us navigate this liminal space together.

If there is any safety in this state of joy and destabilisation, of wonder and dread, expansion and contraction, it is in recognising this: nothing is wrong with us. We are not broken. We are awakening. We are standing in the doorway between what has been and what is emerging, both in our own lives and in the wider world.
