It’s Volunteers’ Week across the UK until Sunday, and we’re recognising people at Joju who volunteer in their communities and beyond. ✨

Here’s a huge shout out to Daniel Webb who is a Parks Volunteer in his hometown. This is their annual meadow raking activity, where volunteers rake all the cut grass and haul it to the top of the park to encourage the wild flowers to grow in the meadow. Daniel says it’s hard work but great for wildlife!

We absolutely love this. Doing your bit for wildlife definitely gets a Friday round of applause from us. 👏

Our team on site for the commissioning of the EV charge points at South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Central HQ recently.

It’s a pleasure to be working together to help provide EV charging infrastructure to electrify the fleet. We’re currently undertaking a Feasibility Study for six additional sites too. ⚡

We’re delighted to be helping South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue with their fleet decarbonisation programme.

We’ve installed these Autel Maxicharger single socket units at their Central Headquarters, to ensure senior staff’s operational vehicles are always charged and ready to go! ⚡

An exciting first to share with you! ☀️

We’ve been working with Avon and Somerset Police to deliver a combination of solar carports, higher-capacity DC chargers, AC chargers, and Battery Energy Storage Systems across three of their sites.

Avon and Somerset Police were particularly interested in this combination of technologies to ensure their EV fleet remains operational at all times, in line with the requirements of the Civil Contingencies Act.

This innovative deployment is the first ‘microgrid’ solution implemented within a UK Police Force, and here’s a first look at the project.

We’ll be sharing more in the coming weeks.

Some super solar news to start the week! ☀️

We’re delighted to be installing solar on a number of sites at Whittington Health NHS Trust in North London.

Here’s a birdseye view of the first one… a 93.73 kWp system, generating 83,850 kWh per annum, and saving 16.21 tonnes of CO2 every year.

The Trust’s vision is to help local people live longer, healthier lives, and it’s fantastic that clean energy is playing its part to power this.

Here’s a Thursday Throwback to our work with Merton Council.

Merton had an impressive portfolio of solar PV before we started working with them. Sadly, their previous installer had gone out of business and as a result, it left Merton with a number of sites which weren’t functioning correctly. They needed a new partner to help them continue their programme and fix any pre-existing system issues. We were able to step in, and as Merton Council commented:

“Joju Solar installed over 170 kWp of solar panels in under 2 months on challenging school sites across the London Borough of Merton. All stages of the process from planning to install were excellent and we have received high praise from the sites themselves about the way their teams worked on site”.

Wey Valley Solar Schools Energy Cooperative was set up by people from the towns of Guildford and Godalming in Surrey to take positive action to combat climate change. 👏

They put community-funded solar panels on schools and community buildings in the local area and it’s always a privilege to work with them to deliver installations.

We also provide monitoring and maintenance to help ensure they continue to get the most energy and best financial returns across their whole portfolio.

This here’s a snapshot of our installation of a 124 kWp system at Godalming College’s Independent Learning Centre, together with a 41.5kWp array at the Performing Arts Centre.

The college now has the maximum footprint of solar the National Grid will currently allow, and it’s great to see it making a difference. ☀️
