Chloe joined a panel of buying agents and advisors for First in the Door’s Industry Perspective in June, sharing where she’s seeing real movement in the prime market.

Her read: needs-based buyers, the ones driven by schooling or a new job, are transacting with confidence, while discretionary buyers wait for the political picture to settle.

True best in class houses, meanwhile, are still drawing competitive bids regardless.

In the height of summer, the queue for Kenwood Ladies’ Pond starts forming before 7am, with regulars getting their swim in before the Heath starts to fill up.

North London has become one of our busiest search areas this year.

What actually holds a buying agent relationship together? Trust and communication, mostly, built conversation by conversation rather than assumed from day one.

For us, it also means each member of the team works with a maximum of six clients at any one time. Not a full book with your search delegated to someone junior. The person you meet is the person doing the work.

It means being genuinely available, not just responsive. The conversations that matter most in a property search rarely happen over email.

And it means having someone in your corner whose job is to hold steady when a negotiation gets difficult or a decision feels overwhelming. We absorb that, so you don’t have to.
