David now works across the National Police Chiefs' Council and College of Policing on their National Centre for Violence Against Women and Girls & Public Protection (NCVPP) Programme. Before that he led team of Designing Out Crime Officers (DOCOs) in north east London Metropolitan Police Service where he had a measurable impact on community safety, reducing burglary, anti-social behaviour and vehicle crime across London.

No, and itโ€™s useful to know the difference.

โžก๏ธ Key wound locks are operated by turning the key to engage the locking points and deadlock the door

โžก๏ธ Lift lever locks require the handle to be lifted to engage locking points before using the key to throw the deadbolt and secure the locking points

โžก๏ธ A split spindle lock can allow different latch operation from inside and outside the property, helping to prevent the door being opened from the outside without a key. To fully secure, often the lever needs to be lifted and cylinder locked

โžก๏ธ Automatic multipoint locking systems secure the door from the outside when it closes. With systems such as the FUHR autosafe range, turning the key then also blocks the inside handle, helping prevent young children from opening the door easily

๐Ÿ† We're pleased to see AMP Construction & Groundworks Ltd recognised with a Secured by Design Gold Development Award for the first phase of the Crown Street development in Gwalchmai, Wales.

Delivered on behalf of North Wales Housing | Tai Gogledd Cymru , the development will provide 33 much-needed affordable homes for local families.

Mark Williams, Site Manager at AMP Construction, said: โ€œItโ€™s been a really rewarding project to be involved in, and itโ€™s fantastic to see the first residents now moving into their new homes.
