As this year’s Pride Month comes to a close, we wanted to reflect on the importance of creating inclusive workplaces and celebrating diversity in our workforces.
As employers, we have a duty to ensure our staff feel safe and secure at work. To achieve this, we need to create an inclusive culture that celebrates difference and recognises the value it can bring. Diversity encourages greater innovation and creativity, supports talent retention and attraction and ensures better and, fairer decision-making.
A great place to start is providing equality, diversity, and inclusion training to your staff. Not only does this training ensure you comply with UK equality law, but it provides your workforce with practical advice and guidance on interacting with their colleagues and checking their biase.
