The Room Upstairs was launched in 2004 as an answer to the question "What do I do with all these business cards?". Sandi Goddard had amassed a great number of business cards and, uncertain whether the owners would have business for her full service agency Goddard Delaney, she decided to introduce them to each other and so a small group of women started to meet once a month at Boulevard Brasserie in Covent Garden.
