TechniQuest have completed a prestigious lighting design project for a residential client in Wimbledon SW19 featuring leading-edge DMX technology and Lutron QS control processing with several hundred computer-controlled channels of RGB led fittings employed to achieve a range of fixed lighting scenes and kinetic / linear colour-flow lighting effects. The first two images below feature a colour-flow scene projected onto a vaulted / curved ceiling face to achieve a 'club' concept, with the tempo of colour change perfectly synchronised with high-tempo 110-140bpm dance music. The other images show fixed colour scenes from exterior vantage points.

The images are all credited to award winning Architectural Photographer Anthony Weller, and we thank his late night persistence and skill in achieving a remarkable set of images. These are the first shots hot of the press following Anthony's summer shoot and we'll be posting further images on our social media feeds in due course - including a lighting design feature on this property's interior.

Due to their modesty, we are unable to name the client group concerned but we thank them for their generosity in permitting this shoot, which will be featured in TechniQuest's on-line and print media in the months to come.

TechniQuest are delighted to announce that the winner of the TechniQuest & Wimbledon Village Stables Summer Movie Competition for a luxury movie night for four at our Meridian Audio Digital Theatre in the Village with complimentary hospitality is NENUPHER; with runners up prizes of screenings for two awarded to Karen Byatt, Hilary Bodin, Katie Paton and Elizabeth Pearson.

We thank all the members and friends of WV Stables for entering the competition in such large numbers! We also offer our commiserations to the only chap who entered - you had no statistical chance whatsoever amongst that many women, so at the discretion of TechniQuest's CEO Vincent Murphy, we have decided to redress the balance of the sexes a little and you - BOROSLAV MEZHDURECHKI - have deservedly won a runners up spot for a movie night for two. TechniQuest Home Technology and our event partners Meridian Audio thank Barbara Ruivo and all her wonderful team at the Wimbledon Guild; Carol Andrews of Wimbledon Village Stables; and Sarah Thain of G&T for their time, effort and ever-friendly partnership in making our Horse Show sponsorship at the Village Fair 2015 such a resounding and enjoyable success.

On the day of the Fair, we featured a fun Summer Competition to win a bespoke movie screening with complimentary drinks and canapé service at TechniQuest’s Meridian Digital Theatre in Wimbledon Village for the winner and five guests, and that was won by Mrs Jules R-S of Wimbledon, with runners-up prizes for weekday evening screenings for smaller groups by Mr Benjamin H-L, Mr Jerry O, Mr Uwe H and Mr Jim B. We have contacted all the winners at the time of this posting, and thank you to all the entrants who willingly swapped their names and email addresses for a nice cold Pimms or lemonade!

TechniQuest UK limited, leading London-based home technology and high-end audio / theatre specialists, and Meridian Audio, the extraordinary British designer and manufacturer of world-leading audio and home theatre entertainment systems, celebrated their joint sponsorship of the Borodin Quartet at the Wimbledon International Music Festival 2014 as hosts of the official pre-festival music evening on Friday 7th November 2014. The Friends and Benefactors of the WIMF, as well as many of TechniQuest's clients and friends turned out in impressive numbers to enjoy an evening that featured a fascinating talk by Richard Hollinshead, Meridian's esteemed Director of Engineering, on the theme of how Merdian digital steaming and DSP technology unlocks the studio reference authenticity of his favourite classical music - followed by the reference playback of various beautiful pieces The Borodin Quartet will be performing live on 15th and 16th November 2014, via reference Meridian Audio digital streaming systems. To celebrate our sponsorship and mark the eve of the Festival, TechniQuest and Meridian Audio are hosting a classical music evening and drinks party at TechniQuest's Wimbledon Village HQ at 7-10pm Friday 7th November 2014. Our guests of honour are the Friends. benefactors and trustees of the WIMF and the evening will feature a speech by Richard Hollinshead, Meridian Audio's esteemed Director of Engineering, and the playback of Borodin Quartet and other high-resolution / studio master recordings on world-leading reference audio systems by Meridian Audio, including flagship DSP8000 SE digital speakers with 861 Control. Truly the reference state of the art in the most accurate possible playback of classical and contemporary music!

The event is scheduled 7pm to 10pm; complimentary drinks and canapés will be served on arrival and Richard Holinshead of Meridian Audio is introducing the music with a speech on the theme of Meridian Audio's pitch-perfect playback of his favourite classical music. Roger and Alison Taylor of Wimbledon Village Win the TechniQuest and Meridian Audio World Cup Summer Competition 2014

TechniQuest and Meridian Audio are delighted to announce that popular Wimbledon locals (indeed British and Canadian tennis legends) Roger and Alison Taylor have won our summer completion, as featured at the Wimbledon Village Fair 2014, to have a high performance Meridian Audio System expertly installed for a month - that month including The Wimbledon Championships, and the World Cup Finals 2014.

The prize was awarded to the Taylors immediately after our prize draw on Wednesday 25th June; and - following a quick survey - a system comprising Meridian Audio’s Audio Core200 (AV Controller), Media Core 200 (1TB System Core), Control 15 (Touchscreen) and DSP M6 loudspeakers and DSW subwoofer was expertly installed by our specialist Meridian crew on Friday 27th June, along with broadband and media enhancements to incorporate Rhapsody Napster as a steamed audio source, and establishing the Taylors’ Apple iOS devices as powerful system controllers.

As well as providing extraordinary audio playback (and virtually unlimited album / track / internet radio choice) the system is ‘plumbed’ into the Taylor’s existing Samsung TV and Virgin Media TV box and they have enjoyed the wonderful sports highlights this summer with Meridian Audio’s the extraordinary playback and media control performance.

And have they enjoyed their system and its revolution of their TV viewing and audio entertainment? Well, I think the photography speaks for itself.

TechniQuest’s Retrospective on the Best Ever Wimbledon Village Fair & Horse Show 2014

On 21st June 2014 TechniQuest and our event partner Meridian Audio sponsored the Horse Show at the Wimbledon Village Fair and - along with the tens of thousands of happy visitors; the event organisers (Wimbledon Guild and Wimbledon Village Stables), and the sponsors / partners involved we had a PERFECT day.

While the 2014 edition of the Fair is still fresh in the memory, this is our retrospective of that wonderful day, with the pick of some terrific photography by Stephen Smith.

TechniQuest and Meridian Audio’s marquee was in prime position at the edge of main Horse Show ring and, thanks to our event and fleet partner, Guy Salmon Land Rover of Thames Ditton, our site featured a TechniQuest-branded Range Rover Sport SDV8 Autobiography (see photography) fitted with a 1700W Meridian Audio Sound System, with extraordinary audio demonstrations manned by a super-efficient Cameron McNeil and Rex Gimblett.

Our wonderful catering core of Amelia and Kassie manned a Pimm’s and white wine bar at the front of the TechniQuest marquee with equal vigour, and offered their lovely cool drinks to the hundreds of visitors to our stand, and frequently escaped the bar to bring complimentary drinks to a grateful Horse Show audience to prevent anyone from flagging in the summer sun.

On the day of the Fair we ran a competition open to all our visitors to win the installation of a performance Meridian Audio System for a month, including Wimbledon and final two weeks of the World Cup. The draw was carried out the following week and the installation carried out at the home of the delighted Wimbledon-based winner on Friday 27th June - we’ll we announcing the winner on Facebook and Twitter immediately after this posting.

After the festivities of the fair and immaculate horsemanship on display, a wonderful day was rounded off with TechniQuest’s event team’s invitation to the annual BBQ and live music at Wimbledon Village Stages, which was great fun - thank you Carol!
