📣 CTO Chapter appoints Chapter Manager ☀️

It is with enthusiasm that we share the appointment of Nadine Rankin as Chapter Manager of the CTO Chapter UK & Europe, effective 17 August 2026.

Nadine has been an integral part of the CTO Chapter UK & Europe for more than 25 years, having served on the Board since 1999, including as Co-Chair, Vice-Chair and Treasurer. She also served as a Trustee of the Caribbean Hotel & Tourism Association Education Foundation, supporting education and opportunities across Caribbean hospitality and tourism.

Having led her own company for several decades and worked with public and private sector clients, Nadine brings extensive industry experience, strong commercial expertise and a deep understanding of the Chapter and its members. Her ability to speak German, French and Spanish is also a valuable asset as we continue to strengthen our engagement across the United Kingdom and key European source markets.

Reflecting on her new role, Nadine shared:
“The CTO Chapter has been an important part of my professional life for nearly three decades and this feels like such a natural progression. Having had the privilege of running my own company, which enabled me to volunteer a small amount of time to supporting the Chapter, I now have the opportunity to devote my energy full-time to an organisation whose mission I deeply value.
“It is an exciting new adventure for me, and I look forward to helping the CTO Chapter grow its influence and impact throughout the UK and Europe.”

The CTO Chapter UK & Europe/Caribbean Tourism Organization recently had the privilege of participating in the Caribbean Days, organised by the Caribbean Chamber of Commerce - Europe (CCCE) as part of the Latin American and Caribbean Week at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris.

Held under the theme “Peace, Diversity and Sustainability”, this four-day event celebrated the richness and diversity of the Caribbean through culture, creativity, dialogue and collaboration, bringing together public and private sector leaders, diplomats, institutions and stakeholders from across the Caribbean, Latin America and Europe.

As part of the sustainable tourism round table with keynote speaker Geoffrey Lipman, former President of the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC), Florian Valmy-Devillers delivered a presentation on "Tourism with a Conscience: Preserving Nature and Culture for Future Generations".

The discussion reinforced the importance of collective action to ensure tourism protects our natural environment, celebrates our cultural heritage and creates lasting benefits for our communities.

A sincere thank you to Jo Spalburg and the CCCE for creating a platform to showcase the Caribbean's collective commitment to collaboration, innovation and sustainable development.

We look forward to continuing these important conversations and strengthening partnerships that will help shape a more resilient and sustainable future for our Caribbean region.

🌺🌴🥂 Favourite Caribbean Celebration of the Year: CTO Summer Ball 2026

What a night we had. Colleagues from across the Caribbean travel industry came together to celebrate everything that makes our region so special.

Headline Destination St. Kitts inspired the menu and drinks reception, outstanding live performances from Sol & The Gang brought the energy, and a lively auction rounded out an exceptional evening throughout — all expertly hosted by the brilliant Ashley Joseph, Actor, Presenter, Writer and Comedian.

Our sincere thanks go to:

🇰🇳 Headline Sponsor, St. Kitts Tourism Authority, for their partnership and prize support, guests enjoyed the signature Shipwreck'd & Stormy cocktails and a St. Kitts-inspired menu bringing Caribbean flavours to the evening.

📰 Media Sponsor, Travel Gossip, for their continued support and event coverage, with the picture Story now live: https://shorturl.at/uTrf5

🎶 Entertainment Sponsor, the British Virgin Islands Tourist Board, for backing the increasingly popular Sol & The Gang, whose performance brought exceptional energy and Caribbean spirit to the celebration.

🤝 Trade Marketing Partner, Travel Uni, whose commitment since 2023 has been instrumental to the continued success of the Caribbean Summer Ball.

A sincere thank you also to our prize donors and fundraising supporters, your generosity was central to the night's success. Thanks to that generosity, we raised over £5,000 for the CTO Foundation, directly supporting educational opportunities for the next generation of Caribbean tourism professionals.

Beyond the celebration itself, it was incredible to see over 200 Members and Partners, Colleagues and Friends come together and celebrate Caribbean tourism so wholeheartedly with us!
