What an Incredible Experience at Black Tech Day! 🎉

I had the honour of speaking on the panel 'Scale Up' and enjoyed every minute of it. The questions from the moderator and the answers from my fellow panellists were nothing short of inspiring. 🌟

I feel passionately about this initiative for many reasons, but I’ll highlight just a few today:

👉🏽As a parent, I experienced the shift when tech started to take over (or at least it feels that way). I love the concept that Black Tech Day shares - Bond then Build. They not only noticed this issue but created a solution that encourages our community to grow TOGETHER.

👉🏽Tech is here now and the future, and Black Tech Day gets that. Listening to their innovative initiatives shows they are in this for the long haul, aiming to create change and opportunity. It’s not just about events it's about education, opportunity, Awareness and relationship building.

I have always loved technology and have taken a path to continually educate myself to serve myself, my team and our clients at Supportal. Our shift last year to focus on tech VAs and systems shows my dedication to ensuring business owners work smart, embrace these changes, and achieve more by doing less.

It’s been a pleasure and I look forward to working more with Black Tech Day to continue supporting and streamlining their systems.

April Photo Dump 📸

Ohhhh April besides that flu you hit me with you’ve been kind.

It’s been a hella of a month, a quick recap of lessons learned, wins and new habits!

💥 Two new partnerships that will allow me to amplify my message and bring in new clients over at

💥 I postponed two masterclasses to put my health first. Not something I like to do at all, the old me would have pushed through, but two things here, I’m not about showing up 50% and I’ve got comfortable putting me first. Thankfully the people I have chosen to be around and take on as clients understand that and believe in this too! Reminder: You are your priority list ❤️

💥 I took my first cold shower and have cut back on coffees and sugar. Wish me luck, so far so good!

💥 Making sure I make more time for my friends and loved ones. Celebrating others wins!! This has meant one face to face social event per week. Being a virtual/digital business I miss this, let’s put social back into social.

💥 A new routine for me to work remotely at least 3 days per week.

💥 Launched the Asana CEO Hub template - it’s already changing the way business owners are approaching the way they manage their workload!

💥 Some great collaborations approaching… I want to remind my fellow bosses to be brave, go approach those people you think are out of reach, they are human that’s the connection you have immediately. Don’t overthink, what you think may be a no could big the biggest YES of your life!

Why is it so hard to stand firm on our value when selling our services?

Yes, I know that feeling 😭

It can be tempting to offer the best deal, throw in freebies, or even do extra work at no cost. But what does it cost you!!

While these aren’t wrong, they require careful consideration. 🤔

I’ve had several conversations with some incredible service providers and VAs recently. Their experience, accolades and journey to date were truly amazing!🤩

But…..

Being a service provider, it’s common that our desire to cater to everyone can leave us stagnant and undervaluing our true worth.

In short you can get trapped being busy doing everyone else instead of taking a moment to digest your growth, where you are and what you have achieved to date.

The question I asked myself “Sure I’m still helping people but am I helping myself first” 🤔

There’s no greed behind knowing your worth and charging it!

🔍 I want you to ask yourself, are you truly analysing your growth and current standing? Or are you selling yourself short?

I’m not just suggesting a rate increase on a whim. I’m urging you to pause, reflect on where you are now!

I want us to grow our profits and dividends in a way that benefits both our clients and ourselves. We’re driven by passion, but let’s remember, we’re also in this to get paid.

Being busy doesn't always mean being productive ❌

True productivity is about getting closer to your goals, not just filling your day with tasks. 🎯

Reading this, you might be thinking it's easier said than done. Like anything, it's an area that requires a little focus and consistency so you can reap the rewards.

"To create time you need to first invest it or delegate it"

Think about investing time in implementing smarter working methods and systems, I know, not the most exciting project you have had land on your lap, but it's an investment that will have so many returns you'll be grateful for.

I've learned from overwhelming burn-out and little return from it, that filling every minute of your day might feel productive, but is it necessary?

🔑The key before we do anything is prioritising actions that have a real impact, and then finding smart ways to execute so that it doesn't eat every minute/hour and all your energy, especially as a service provider flying solo.

I’ve been named a Self Made Finalist 2024 for Outstanding Achievements!

Honestly, I didn’t see this coming, but wow, what a surprise. 🌟

Big congrats to all the other finalists—truly, it’s an honour to be listed among such inspiring individuals.

Here’s to celebrating every achievement, big or small, because they’re all significant victories.

On this journey, it’s tempting to chase after the next big thing, especially when it comes to the wins we might think are too small to fuss over.

But one thing I’ve embraced, and what I’m doubling down on this year, is the importance of celebrating every win, regardless of its size.

It’s a reminder to appreciate the milestones, not just the destination. 🙌🏽

Damn right, I just spent five blissful days in Egypt, completely switched off from the usual chaos.

My business didn’t just survive; it thrived. Why? Because I finally got smart about it. 🚀

This year for me was about being cut out of all uneccesaey communications, to step back from being the go-to…

How am I achieving this ❓

I’ve recently taken on a badass Business and Operations Manager who’s now taking lead of client onboarding, managing my VA team and systems. A new VA, Sophie, who handles all my admin and small projects, and a PA who makes sure my personal life remains a priority. 💫

Having these ladies on side will allow me to claim back almost 40 hours + pm giving me time to breathe and focus on what I do best!💪🏽

The quality?

Still top-notch, as if I were cloning myself for every task, achieved with trust, systems and processes🌟

If there’s anything these eight years have hammered home, it’s this: Trying to do it all is a one-way ticket to Burnout City. I’m not looking to rush back there this year 🚫

Sacrifice is real. But to move faster and still have time freedom, you have got to build your dream team and set those systems in stone.
