To make a profit you need to know every last penny that you spend. Ideally as many as possible need to be identified before setting your price structure. However, costs should NOT dictate your pricing. Once you have a view of costs and your ideal prices you can start to make decisions about a sensible balance between the two. You might be able to increase your selling price in some areas but need to make savings in others. Make sure you do the sums and are comfortable before jumping in.

This week I took part in Six Simple Steps...to making profit. I very nearly said no when diary asked me back in December to take part. Presenting to this many people usually brings me out in hives 😬. I know it’s a cliche but I’m so pleased that I pushed myself out of my comfort zone and said yes. I ended up really enjoying it and the nerves were kept at bay thankfully. It was fantastic to be part of such an interesting event with a very talented bunch of ladies! I hope to see you all again
