When I was doing a wardrobe edit for a client the other day we were looking to put together outfits for a smart bar / restaurant for evenings out with his partner.

He had some nice pieces though he was lacking in trouser options. And it got me thinking….

Not everyone goes to do’s where you need to wear a tux or a velvet blazer - often it’s a lot more casual - and then what do you wear?

🍂🍁 Autumn colour sweaters 🍂🍁

As part of my Wardrobe Editing service, I always do a colour analysis.

Last Friday’s client suited the “Autumn’ palette.

🙌 He already had a lot of the right colours in his wardrobe, but lacked a few of the brighter ones.

Here are some sweaters I picked out for him to try:

1) Stripes -
2) Mustard -
3) Burnt orange-
4) Teal -
5) Light olive -

This is one of the inspiration shots a client and I have got together ahead of his shopping trip next week. 💡

We went through his wardrobe last week and at the top of our list is trousers and shoes. 👞 👖

He wants to move away from the from the skinny and slim cuts he’s been wearing, but can’t quite figure out how to wear more relaxed and pleat front trousers without looking like his grandad. 😦

He’s tall so he’ll be able to take more volume in the trousers he wears, and updating his footwear to go with the new styles will also help to get the look right. 👌

Have you got you got your winter clothes out, only to find there’s NOTHING you’re excited to wear? 😩

It’s the same old basics, and a lot of things that are beginning to feel worn out. 🪡

You’d love to replace them, but you just can’t face going to the shops. 🫣

From past experience, you know you’ll end up wandering around completely overwhelmed and go and find the nearest coffee shop (or pub!)instead. ☕️

You go home empty handed and feel annoyed that you’ve wasted time and got no further. 😡
