Update from ‘Jessica Family House’ in Wandsworth. Finishing up ready for our clients to move in next month!

02/04/2026

The principal bedroom suite at our Camden Townhouse project has been designed with open screens, creating a dual aspect and allowing natural light to flow through the space. Open cabinetry provides space to display clothing and accessories, and leads to a light-filled ensuite beyond.

We will soon be on site as the project moves into construction - an exciting stage for both us and our client.

The bedrooms at Chiswick House combine traditional detailing with contemporary joinery. New sash windows sit alongside plaster cornices and cast metal radiators, grounding the rooms in the character of the house.

Half height shaker style panelling runs behind the bed in the front bedroom, adding texture and structure to the space. Opposite, bespoke wardrobes are modern in design, finished in a contrasting colour with simple vertical groove detailing. Engineered oak flooring runs throughout, softened with rugs, to create bedrooms that feel warm, comfortable and quietly resolved.

The Chiswick House family bathroom is defined by a strong interplay of colour, geometry and traditional detailing. A built-in bath is fully clad in tiles, giving the room a sense of solidity and permanence, and is set beneath a traditional cornice that softens the space.

In the walk-in shower, bold colour-banded metro tiles line a recessed niche, creating a clear focal point and adding energy to the otherwise restrained palette. An arched shelving niche references the arched openings used elsewhere in the house, carrying this architectural language up through the upper floors.

The ensuite bathroom at Chiswick House is shaped around light and geometry. A freestanding bath sits beneath a triangular window in the front gable, framing views of the treetops beyond.

A textured oak vanity unit sits opposite, bringing warmth and a sense of luxury, paired with a white marble top. A walk-in shower is set beneath a rooflight and finished in white marble, with contrasting natural brass fittings.

Together, these elements create a bathroom that feels luxurious and carefully considered, designed as a place to slow down at the beginning and end of the day.

The principal bedroom at Chiswick House sits at the top of the house as a calm retreat from the spaces below. A restrained palette of soft tones, warm timber and gentle light creates a restful atmosphere throughout the day.

Carefully integrated joinery and lighting keep the room composed and uncluttered, allowing the proportions and materials to lead. Views across the surrounding greenery reinforce the sense of privacy and quiet.

The circulation spaces at Chiswick House were completely rethought to bring clarity, light and a sense of calm to the way the home is experienced. A key move was the introduction of internal glazing between the entrance hall and the living room. This creates visual connection while allowing each space to retain its own character, and it transforms how daylight moves through the ground floor.

The staircase and landings were rebuilt with a focus on proportion, detailing and craftsmanship. Softly moulded timber handrails, slender black balusters and traditional wall panelling work together to give the home a sense of quiet elegance as you move through each level.

These spaces are often overlooked, yet they are the thread that binds a home together. Here they have been designed with the same care as the main rooms, giving the whole house a more coherent and uplifting feel.

The kitchen at Chiswick House sits at the heart of the new extension, designed to feel warm, calm and deeply connected to the garden. The space is anchored by a generous island with soft timber tones and natural stone, paired with large glazed openings that draw in greenery and daylight throughout the day.

A new arched entrance frames the walk through to the pantry and creates a subtle architectural rhythm that ties the ground floor together. The bespoke joinery, beautifully crafted by , brings refinement and texture to the room, balancing traditional profiles with a clean, contemporary layout.

The dining area sits just beyond the island, allowing the family to move easily between cooking, eating and relaxing. The result is a space that feels both welcoming and composed, with every detail considered.
