Every 3rd of June in Uganda they celebrate the Uganda Martyrs Day, these young boys were killed between the 25th of May 1886 and the 27th of January 1887 under the orders of King Mwanga because of their refusal to denounce christianity, a religion that they had just converted to.

Every year during this season thousands and thousands of people walk from all parts of Africa to come to Namugongo martyrs shrines to celebrate this day, however this year because of covid the numbers are going to be limited, most of the people are going to celebrate the day on tv.
