Fantastic evening at Maryland Ward Residents’ Meeting!
On Wednesday 7th October, Community Energy Newham had such a wonderful opportunity to join the Maryland Ward group Residents Meeting 💚
At CEN we build with local residents, workers and communities and this was exactly that spirit in action! It was a joy to share our work, how you can join CEN for just £1, our school workshops, youth training programs, and creating more green jobs right here in Newham 🌱⚡
So inspiring to meet Maryland’s Councillors, the Lead Councillor for Forest Gate & Maryland, and the Neighbourhood Watch team, learning about the incredible work they’re doing to build a safer, stronger ward for everyone 👏
Huge thanks to Babs Pierre for the kind invitation! We’re so looking forward to working together for a truly sustainable energy future for Newham 🤝💚

🌱 Newham Schools Sustainability Conference - Brilliant Day! 🌱
The CEN team was delighted to attend! It was so productive sharing knowledge with schools across Newham and talking about our work engaging communities, building a sustainable borough from the ground up, starting with our children. 💚
Had a fantastic opportunity to talk about Our Second Share Offer 2026, which is coming — invest and make a difference, Keep benefiting local, clean, and fair

London Borough of Newham Mayor Forhad Hussain at East Ham Library - Truly Inspiring! ✨
We were absolutely amazed to see such kindness for our environment, enthusiasm for renewable energy, and a real passion for the community, plus a thoughtful care in planning ahead for better living places right here in Newham. It was truly inspiring to hear from Mayor . Having him with us was incredible!
Here’s what he had to say:
"The Libraries solar panels are saving around £800 a year and across our libraries and schools, projects are set to save around £1 million on energy bills, generating £190,000 to reinvest right here in our communities.
The best part? You can join Community Energy Newham for just £1 and have an equal say in how those benefits are spent. Clean energy, lower bills, and more investment in Newham, all shaped by you."

What an absolutely fantastic day at the Green Fair by Sustainable Newham at Forest Lane Park on June 7th! 🌳✨
Community Energy Newham was thrilled to be part of such a vibrant gathering, full of incredible people and local residents. Our stall was buzzing with activity, and it was wonderful to see so many little participants creating awesome badges, spreading smiles and energy! 🤩
It was also a great opportunity to join the panel discussions and connect with everyone passionate about making things green and fair. A huge thank you to the organizers for putting together such a brilliant event. Special appreciation goes to Joy Carter for her magnificent support, being an amazing organizer, and her unwavering dedication to the Community Energy Newham team! 🙌
