🏆🧡💙 WHO'S GOING TO THE CANYON OF HEROES?! 💙🧡🏆

The New York Knicks are bringing the Larry O'Brien Trophy home and the city is getting ready for a historic ticker-tape parade! 🎉

📍 The parade begins at Battery Park at 10AM and travels north along Broadway through the legendary Canyon of Heroes before wrapping up with a celebration at City Hall.

If you're heading downtown:
💧 Bring water
👟 Wear comfortable shoes
🚇 Expect transit delays and road closures
⏰ Get there EARLY because the crowds are going to be insane

53 years later... New York finally gets its parade. 🗽🏆

Who's pulling up? Drop a 🏀 in the comments!

Coaching isn’t always about encouragement. Sometimes it’s about correction. Sometimes it’s about accountability. Sometimes it’s about challenging a player to reach a level they can’t yet see for themselves. The best coaches don’t lower the standard—they help players rise to it.

The greatest growth happens when a player is willing to listen, trust, and apply. Every adjustment, every detail, and every conversation is an opportunity to improve. Players who embrace coaching often make the biggest jumps because they understand that feedback is a gift, not a personal attack.

Being coachable is one of the most valuable skills an athlete can have. Talent may get you noticed, but the ability to learn, adapt, and accept instruction is what helps you reach your full potential.

A few athlete parent truths we don’t talk about enough 👇🏽

*Development is NOT linear. One season your kid looks ahead of everyone, the next they might plateau. That’s not regression; that’s growth happening in different ways.

*The best athletes aren’t always the early standouts. Early success can come from size, speed, or maturity. Long-term success usually comes from mindset, discipline, coachability, and how they respond when things get tough.

*Recovery is part of training. Sleep, hydration, rest days, and mental breaks matter just as much as reps and practice. You can’t out-train burnout or injury.

*And the sidelines matter more than most people think. What we say after games can either build confidence or build pressure. Instead of focusing on mistakes or outcomes, try asking: “What did you learn today?”

*Also; coaches coach, parents parent. Too many voices can confuse young athletes. Clarity helps them play free.

*And for the big picture: college opportunities aren’t built on highlight moments alone. Consistency, effort, attitude, and growth over time are what really stand out.

Just some things I wish more parents knew early in the process. 🏀⚽️🏈

Looking back at this photo, I couldn’t help but smile. Maybe the ✈️ earrings were foreshadowing after all.

Today, I have the privilege of helping athletes navigate opportunities beyond the game; through branding, strategy, guidance, and preparation.

The destination may look different for every athlete, but the mission is the same: helping them take flight with confidence and purpose.

💙 Every sport. Every athlete. Every opportunity.

Football recruiting is here. 🏈

Reminder to every athlete and parent: your highlights might get the attention, but your consistency, character, communication, and preparation help create opportunities.

Keep working. Keep showing up. Keep telling your story.

One thing I’ve learned while working with student-athletes is that supporting the parents is just as important as supporting the athlete.

The recruiting process can feel overwhelming. There are timelines, highlight videos, emails to coaches, academics, eligibility requirements, social media, camps, showcases; and an endless amount of advice coming from every direction.

I’ve also realized that one of the biggest challenges isn’t connecting with student-athletes…it’s connecting with their parents. And I understand why. When it comes to your child’s future, you want to make the right decisions and avoid costly mistakes.

That’s why my goal isn’t to make unrealistic promises or sell dreams. My goal is to educate, provide honest guidance, and help families better understand the recruiting landscape so they can make informed decisions with confidence.

I’d love to hear from parents:

What’s been the most confusing or frustrating part of the college recruiting process for you?

Your answers may help shape future resources, workshops, and content that truly meet families where they are.

Because when parents are informed and student-athletes are prepared, everyone is in a better position to succeed. 💙🏐🏀🎓
