Lots of startups skip past the supplier negotiation phase to focus on branding, social media and marketing - but suppliers can quite literally make or break your business. Establishing good relationships with your suppliers should be a priority as there needs to be commercial benefit for both sides. Don’t just accept the first price/terms you are given, even if your initial order seems very small.

In most cases, you absolutely can negotiate their MOQs or ask for price breaks for larger volumes - and then split up the delivery and payment schedules.
