Life is meant to be lived, and one of the greatest pleasures I get from being in this line of work is watching my clients celebrate to the fullest... when their eyes light up as they enter a transformed venue or how we have to draw for the Kleenex when heartwarming speeches are being made or when they're (sometimes literally) dancing on the tables to that song that takes them back to being 18 and on their first holiday away with their mates 😎🎊
I know my job is done when I look you in your eyes and you tell me, "Kyla, I couldn't have done any of this without you" and I can honestly say, "it's my pleasure!" 🤗🥂🎈

Welcome to my new series, "What The Client Asked For vs. What The Client Got" which details everything from Client Brief to ex*****on.
Today we're starting off with this incredible celebration to mark an epic 90th birthday for James. A King to Queens, his daughters came to me to help make this party one he'll never forget.
Personally, this was a huge privilege me and one I didn't take lightly... I mean, this is not no run-of-the mill birthday... this is a HUGE milestone... an honouring of a living legend... a man who represents a generation who helped to rebuild and keep this country running... whose legacy is FOUR generations deep!
I knew in my heart, I had to get this right... and I think I did!

Wrapping up the year feeling full of gratitude for every client that came my way, every supplier and vendor I worked with, every venue I visited and transformed, every new technique and skill I learned, every artist who inspired me, every single person who liked, shared, commented or reposted and for everyone who referred me to their loved ones... THANK YOU!!!
I may be new to the industry but anyone who really knows me, knows that I've always been about bringing good people together, to celebrate moments in an unforgettable way. So for me to venture in to this space professionally, it's more than just a side hustle... it's a calling... my passion!
I love love, I love celebrating life, I love the creative and transformative process, I love making people feel good, I love seeing the joy that takes over a room full of people and has them moving as one.
I honestly cannot wait for next year... with bookings already in hand, I'm already excitedly planning and working on some truly beautiful pieces to make these events as unique as the people I'm putting them together for.

Honestly, so much work goes on behind the scenes when it comes to planning and preparing for an event... 😅
Hours and hours, weeks, sometimes even months of research, back and forth with vendors, site-visits, multiple measurements, finding samples, trialling design ideas, practicing and perfecting decór techniques, price matching, staying ahead of trends and always, ALWAYS making it TRUE TO YOU! 💜
Having clients that respect and value that... Who appreciate you, your time, energy and effort... it goes a long way and makes going above and beyond for them feel like nothing at all 🤗
All I know, is that I have been fortunate to have some truly beautiful clients since I started this wonderful business and I'm so grateful for the experience I have had in the industry to date 🥰
