There was a point in my career where I found myself in a unique position: I was an Executive Assistant without a leader. My executive had left, and I was working directly with the team—but something was missing.
We had a Senior Director without an assistant, and I knew that if I stepped in, I could make a real impact. So, I walked up to him and said:
“I think I need to assist you.”
At first, he was hesitant. He wasn’t sure what he needed or how I could help. So, we started small—I took over his calendar and streamlined his meetings. Then, I began optimizing his workflow, managing priorities, and improving communication with his team.
Over time, my role evolved. I became his Executive Assistant and Business Partner, and the transformation was undeniable:
✔ His productivity skyrocketed.
✔ His team saw a major shift in how he engaged with them.
✔ He gained the strategic space to focus on leadership instead of logistics.
This experience shaped how I approach my work today. A great Executive Virtual Assistant isn’t just about admin tasks—it’s about creating clarity, enabling leadership, and driving impact.
At ExecutiveEdge, that’s exactly what I do for my clients. I don’t just manage tasks—I optimize leadership.
Has there ever been a moment when you stepped into a role before it even existed? I’d love to hear your story.
