White people make up a relatively small share of the world’s population (%14), yet countries with white-majority populations are frequently encouraged to become increasingly multicultural, while many other parts of the world remain comparatively culturally or ethnically homogeneous.

Why is multiculturalism treated as an expectation in some countries but not others?

Should cultural diversity be something that is encouraged everywhere, or should countries be free to preserve their own cultural and national identities?
