When Antonia Halse Rojas launched Material Productions (.productions), it wasn’t a traditional business move - it was a reclamation of energy, instinct and pace. After years producing campaigns for ITV and Sky Sports, she reached a point many solopreneurs know well: earning well, but spending everything on recovering.

What came next was a shift into work rooted in care and clarity:
↳ ‘Emergent Futures’ coaching
↳ Group acupuncture sessions
↳ A commitment to only work in ways that support a regulated nervous system (“I’m not diverting from a regulated baseline ever again.”)

Her story in this month’s Solo Stories is about all the moments that changed her direction: sudden grief, a move to Mexico, stepping out of consultancy, trusting her instinct (“It’s like a hot-and-cold game - you move around and feel where it’s warmer”), and choosing collaboration over pushing through alone.

She also shares the quiet truths behind solo work: divesting from what doesn’t fit, designing work that actually supports your life, checking capacity honestly, and the privilege - and responsibility - of building differently.

You can read Antonia’s full story in the Solo Together newsletter.

The most generous people are often the most depleted.

Saying yes looks good - until it drains you dry. Every time you say yes, something else quietly goes unpaid.

Your boundaries aren’t barriers; they’re sharp edits, to protect what actually matters.
I unpacked this in this week’s Edit Your Life - what it really costs to be the “reliable one.”

What’s hardest for you right now, saying no, or not explaining why? (For me, it's not overly explaining why...)

You don’t need more content ideas. You need a filter.

Your story is that filter. It decides what’s worth saying, and what’s just noise.

Without it, you end up reacting. To trends, requests, and “urgent” updates that don’t move anything forward.
With it, you lead the narrative.
You communicate on purpose, not by panic.

Clarity isn’t another task. It’s a filter that saves your time, attention, and trust.

💭 If you had that filter in place, what would you stop talking about first?

✨ Confidence doesn’t come first. It’s built by doing.

When you say yes even while your hands shake, you’re not failing - you’re collecting evidence. Each time you take a small brave step, your brain learns: I can handle this.

That’s the heart of this week’s Edit Your Life: Stop waiting to “feel ready.” Start building proof (for yourself) that you are.

A story isn’t a script you’re stuck following. It’s a lens you can adjust.

The right lens makes things clearer: what to say yes to, what to step away from, and how to make decisions that actually align with where you’re going.

That’s the work I do with leaders and businesses, editing the story so it doesn’t box you in, but does give you focus and direction you can use every day.

Because a sharper lens doesn’t just change the story you tell. It changes the choices you make.

“People like me don’t get opportunities like that.”
“I’ll never be confident.”

So many of us have scripts like these running in our heads.

This month in Edit Your Life, I’m writing about confidence and self-worth: the kind that makes it easier to back yourself, set boundaries, and say yes to opportunities.

🌱 The new issue, The Stories That Keep You Small, shares how to spot those limiting scripts in real time and soften them into something that builds confidence instead of eroding it.

✨ What if wanting wasn’t something to apologise for? (It’s not.)

So many of us were taught to shrink our hunger - to tone down the dream, the ache, the yearning for something more.

But being whole includes longing. It includes desire. Not as a weakness, but as a signal. A compass.

This week’s Edit Your Life digs into what it means to actually listen to that part of yourself, instead of silencing it.

We’ve been told for years: find your passion. Like it’s one thing. Singular. Capital P.

But what if passion isn’t a soulmate waiting to be discovered fully formed, out there somewhere?

What if it’s multiple things?

This week’s Edit Your Life digs in on purpose and passion.

We don’t just tell stories to make sense of our lives. We tell them to make sense of our work.

The story you tell about your business shapes how others understand it - and how you understand it yourself.

If the story is outdated, foggy, or unconvincing, people feel it. If the story is clear, human, and true, it travels and connects.

That’s why storytelling isn’t decoration. It’s infrastructure. It’s the difference between your business being noticed and someone buying your product or service.

✨ What story are you telling right now - and does it reflect where you are right now?

It's time to notice what you actually enjoy!

This week’s Edit Your Life is about paying attention to what actually feeds and fuels you… The stuff that makes you feel like you.

The thing that lights you up…

⚡️ Doesn’t have to be a job
⚡️ Doesn’t have to scale

What you enjoy, even quietly, even inconsistently, is a breadcrumb trail. Follow it.
