Good morning !

Today I am in London at Matrix Chambers supporting a client who believes they have been the victim of a Miscarriage of Justice. I am meeting with the barristers who form part of the legal team working on his case.

Cases of this nature are often complex and require a thorough review of the evidence, careful investigation and meticulous attention to detail.

My role is to assist by examining the facts, identifying lines of enquiry that may have been overlooked, and providing professional investigative support to the legal team.

What an incredible experience!

Today I had the pleasure of joining Tanya on V2 Radio Brunch to celebrate National Private Investigators Day and the amazing work carried out by Private Investigators across the globe.

We chatted about my journey from Policing into Private Investigation, what it’s really like working in the industry, why I founded Pink Investigations, and the day-to-day reality of life as a professional investigator.

🎙️ Exciting news… and I’m definitely stepping outside my comfort zone!

On Friday, 24 July 2026, I’ll be appearing live on V2 Radio during their Brunch Show to celebrate National Private Investigators Day.

My interview will be between 10:00am and around 10:40am. I’ll be talking about my journey from serving 23 years in the Police to becoming a Private Investigator, what it’s like working as a woman in the industry and the important work that professional Private Investigators carry out every day.

National Private Investigators Day is a chance to recognise investigators across the world who work with professionalism, integrity and discretion to help people find answers during some of the most difficult times in their lives.

This will be my very first live radio interview, so I’m feeling excited, honoured… and yes, a little nervous too! I’d really love your support if you’re able to listen in.

Today marks one year since I incorporated Pink Investigations Limited and began this journey as a director of the business and a private detective.

It’s been an incredible first year, full of challenges, learning, and achievements that I’m genuinely proud of. Alongside investigations, I’ve also been working as a security consultant across the East Anglia region, further developing valuable professional relationships and experience within the industry. I’ve also had the privilege of networking with organisations such as the WAPI - World Association of Professional Investigators and The Association of British Investigators.

Over the past year, I’ve conducted numerous surveillance operations, supported legal counsel in High Court matters, assisted with child custody litigation support, process serving, insurance fraud investigations, and infidelity cases. I’ve also worked with individuals navigating miscarriages of justice and contributed towards reviewing processes, particularly in relation to policing procedures, with the aim of helping improve outcomes and benefiting the public overall.

One of the most rewarding parts of this work has been helping to locate missing people and reconnect loved ones, alongside supporting clients through difficult and often life-changing situations.

I also want to say a huge thank you to my wonderful husband and family for their constant support, encouragement, and belief in me while building this business. Their support behind the scenes has meant more than words can say, and I truly couldn’t have done this without them.

Most importantly, thank you to everyone who has trusted and supported me throughout this first year. Building this business has been one of the biggest and most rewarding steps of my career, and I’m excited to see what the future holds.

It was a pleasure to attend the Association of British Investigators conference for 2026!

Also great to attend alongside Sam Hutchinson from Verity Henton Private Investigations 🙌🏻 .. this isn’t just a professional connection, it’s a story that dates back 30 years!

This month marks three decades since we first met, in the waiting room for the interview for the same role within the Police in Child Protection. We both succeeded and worked together for many years.

That shared starting point became the foundation of our investigative journeys.

Fast forward to today, and we’ve each built and grown our own businesses ..yet one thing hasn’t changed is our friendship and unwavering support for one another through every high and low along the way. (With a few tears of both sadness and joy).

Attending the conference together made the experience even more meaningful. It was a fantastic day of networking with some incredible professionals across the Private Investigation industry, sharing knowledge, insights and experiences.

One thing that remains constant in this line of work and in business generally is that you never stop learning. Even after 30 years, there are always new tools to add to the investigative kit, new perspectives to consider and new connections to build.

Building a business can be challenging, but having the right people around you, those who support, challenge and inspire you makes all the difference ❤️

I am proud to share that being accredited by the World Association of Professional Investigators WAPI provides clients with the confidence that their investigator works to a recognised Code of Ethics, Professional Standards, and a commitment to honesty and integrity.

Within WAPI, the newly formed WAPI Womens Collective is already becoming a powerful space for connection. It bringing women in the investigative profession together to support one another to share experience, and strengthen our businesses through collaboration and networking.
