It was a pleasure to attend the Association of British Investigators conference for 2026!
Also great to attend alongside Sam Hutchinson from Verity Henton Private Investigations 🙌🏻 .. this isn’t just a professional connection, it’s a story that dates back 30 years!
This month marks three decades since we first met, in the waiting room for the interview for the same role within the Police in Child Protection. We both succeeded and worked together for many years.
That shared starting point became the foundation of our investigative journeys.
Fast forward to today, and we’ve each built and grown our own businesses ..yet one thing hasn’t changed is our friendship and unwavering support for one another through every high and low along the way. (With a few tears of both sadness and joy).
Attending the conference together made the experience even more meaningful. It was a fantastic day of networking with some incredible professionals across the Private Investigation industry, sharing knowledge, insights and experiences.
One thing that remains constant in this line of work and in business generally is that you never stop learning. Even after 30 years, there are always new tools to add to the investigative kit, new perspectives to consider and new connections to build.
Building a business can be challenging, but having the right people around you, those who support, challenge and inspire you makes all the difference ❤️
