Every subsequent generation owes these men and woman a debt that can’t be expressed by words alone.
They really did save the world.
Some of us were lucky enough to hear their stories first hand, and as the numbers of those survivors left dwindles each year, I hope we stay true to their memory and continue to carry the weight of their sacrifice as if it happened only yesterday.
Lest we forget.
