It’s a family affair! Excited to announce that InnerVisions ID and my hubby Andy Pieroux's company Walpole Partnership are joining together to in a three-year sponsorship deal with FootyFun4Kids, a football club based in London.

Our children, Luc and Leon, have been training with FootyFun4Kids since they were tiny, and now proudly play for Northfields United.

FootyFun4Kids provides a safe and fun environment in which children can learn to play football whilst learning about teamwork, commitment and resilience.

The club now has additional funding to support children on an ongoing basis and provide meals during the holidays for those who may otherwise not be able to access sports and group activities.

The sponsorship of FootyFun4Kids provides a unique opportunity for our companies to support the growth of another local, ambitious business.

Relationships are so key to business success.

What’s your longest business relationship?

Here’s me ‘out out’ last night at the DRG party at with my very first boss ever John Raglan, founder of the company.

He saw something in me way back in the 90s after seeing my final Marketing course project on selling radio and offered me my first job as a post-grad. At the time he was Matketing director for Metro Radio Group. I joined the team in B2B then also B2C marketing but soon brought the design function in-house too.

It kicked off a 20-something year career in media which saw me work for media giants such as emap, Chrysalis, The Telegraph, O2 and Mirror Group.

Despite the miles in later years, him in Northumberland and me in London, we always stayed in touch. When I started InnerVisions ID Brand Consultancy, John became one of my first clients, and we created the group brand for DRG, the parent company of his seven market research companies. The brand still looks fresh, fun and relevant today (of course I forgot to take pictures of the branding yesterday at the party!)

When a valued member of the DRG team, Angus Webb, died of Covid, I was honoured to be asked to design his memory book and got a wonderful note from Angus’ bereaved parents.

Last night was the first time I’d seen John for years and it was good to hug again, reconnect and meet with so many more of the DRG family and their clients.

We worked out it’s coming up to 30 years of knowing each other which made me feel really old!

Thank you John, for a top DRG night out, giving me opportunities and our friendship over the years.

I was genuinely touched to see Asda is offering children’s meals for £1 over the summer holidays, with no minimum spend, as a move to help families hit by the cost of living crisis.

Here is a brand living its values, giving back to the community and understanding its target audiences problems deeply.

Giving back is a powerful way to generate goodwill and brand loyalty in tough times. Asda are really owning this space for their consumers right now.

Danny Higgins came to us early 2020 to rebrand the school photography part of the business as separate from work done under ‘Danny Higgins Photography’.

He wanted a new company name that conveyed that this side of the business was bigger than just him, as he had associates who did some of the school work.

Under the his current self-named company, clients would understandably expect Danny himself to turn up, which wasn’t always the case.

School photography is a very price-sensitive market. Naming the business after himself wasn’t helping him to scale this side of his business, and separate the school gigs from his other higher-priced jobs.

So he booked a naming call and we came up with ‘Smiles at School’.

Thrilled with the new name, Danny booked in to our One Day Brand Accelerator.

Sadly, shortly after his brand day, the pandemic took full effect and with it, his bookings.

It was a tough couple of years.

I caught up with Danny last week and asked how business was going.

What a turnaround!

“Business is booming, thanks! After the horrid two years of Covid impact, we are now trading well above pre-Covid levels thanks in no small part to the new brand!

I got a pleasing comment from one new client who said she “assumed Smiles At School were a large national company” which is great as it shows our intention to move away from appearing as a one-man-band is working.”

Yesterday I decided I was going to take it up a level and Zig-a-zig-AH!

I went to the funnest, most glamorous networking event to out-royal all others, with a Jubilee theme…

The dress code was red, white, or blue… so of course I had lots of red dresses to choose from… but I went with this stand out number instead!
