Going on holiday as a business owner is a strange mix of emotions, isn’t it?

You know you *need* the break.
You know you *should* switch off.

But at the same time… your business doesn’t completely leave your mind.

You still find yourself checking your phone, keeping an eye on emails, wondering if clients have been replied to, if bookings are being missed, or if something urgent is waiting for you when you get back.

When you run your own business, it’s hard to fully step away from it.

That’s one of the reasons having VA support can make such a difference.

So true 🩷

Facebook friends: I’ll be honest, applying to companies like Snapchat, Google, & Cisco, I felt massively underqualified.

Non-target school, no connections... it felt like I was always playing catch up.

Every application felt like a shot in the dark.

I'd click 'submit' knowing a rejection was likely coming soon.

But I didn’t let that define my story.

I found mentors & people from similar backgrounds who had made it to those same roles.

I learned about their paths, how they gained the skills and experience they needed, & how they networked.

And then I went out & did the same. I took a chance on myself, and that made all the difference.

Here’s what I hope you can take away from this:

For me, that means being outdoors—watching the birds flit around the trees, breathing in fresh air, and spending time with my ponies. It's quiet, grounding, and completely mine.
