Appealing To Retailers!
One of our members stores was targeted just before opening time at 6:13am Sunday morning by burglars.

Prior to opening the store on Sunday 10 September 2023 a white van is parked in front of our members retail premises with the side door open whilst two suspects with their faces covered used an Angle Grinder and cut through the store's shutters and gained entry into the premises.

Two suspects with their faces covered unlawfully gained entry into the store and stole approximately £3,000 worth of ci******es and to***co. The suspects also caused hundreds of pounds worth of damage to the shutters, locks and doors.

Fresh Card Terminal Fraud Scam Update; He Is Doing His Rounds Again...

The suspect in this image has been targeting a number of retail outlets across the UK. He has been using the vehicle in the image provided to travel from store to store.

He first came to our attention after targeting one of our members retail outlets in Cape Avenue in Staffordshire, west Midlands.

The incident happened in July of 2022 when he managed to target the same store over a number of weeks, purchasing vouchers, such phone top ups, PlayStation vouchers and Amazon vouchers which cost the store a substantial amount of money.

We have received information that the suspect is now targeting store in, Durham and the surrounding areas targeting the card terminals using stolen/ cloned credit cards.

He is able to manipulate and bypass the chip and pin by putting the stolen card in the terminal and entering the long card number so the machine request a signature before the transaction is authorized and leaves the store with high value vouchers.

You can prevent this type of fraud/scam by contacting your terminal provider as requesting that they turn this feature off.

If you are unfortunate enough to experience this scam and recognise what he is upto, DO NOT give a refund as the refund will be credited to a different card and you will lose your money X 2. Tell the suspect to contact his bank for their refund.

The suspect was recently last seen in a store in Durham where he is upto the same scam/fraud.

A Substantial suspected fraud of a massive £12,000 that was committed over a number of weeks at our members independent retailers store in Stafford.

🚨 Urgent Warning to all retailers! ⚠️

A Substantial suspected fraud of a massive £12,000 that was committed over a number of weeks at our members independent retailers store in Stafford.

The Police would like to speak with the male in the image below who may be able to help them with their inquiries.

The male in question entered the same store on a number of different occasions and purchased goods on whats believed to be stolen credit cards on values up to £500 on each occasion.

He used the card reader machine with the stolen cards and entered a code without the store staff's knowledge and changed the settings of the machine so that the machine requested a signature instead of using a pin to activate the chip.

The unaware staff proceeded with the transaction, believing the suspect had used the chip and pin.
