External cabling doesn’t have to be an eyesore. 👌🏼
We’ve just finished a two-camera CCTV installation on a wooden lodge in a lodge park. With no loft or cavity to hide the cables in, running them externally was the only practical option.
The client wanted everything kept as close and flush to the lodge as possible. She didn’t want conduit or trunking running around the property and spoiling its appearance, so careful cable routing was key.
The cables have been neatly clipped, following the window framing and the lines of the lodge to keep the finish tidy and discreet. It’s about taking the time to work with the property and respecting how the customer wants their home to look.
And before anyone mentions the camera angle in the video — the work was still underway! It was properly positioned and adjusted before we finished. 😂
The finish matters just as much as getting the system working. That’s how it should be.
