🌟 SEPTEMBER’S CARERS OF THE MONTH – MEET OUR AMAZING SENIORS!🌟

This month, we couldn’t choose just one person for our Carer of the Month award, so we’re doing something a little different! ❤️

We’re delighted to introduce our September Carers of the Month – our wonderful Seniors, Kerry and Emma!🏆👏

We know how important it is to have people around us who genuinely care, support one another and go that extra mile. Kerry and Emma are two very special members of our East Coast Care team, and we’d love to tell you a little bit about them and why they deserve this recognition.

💙 Kerry

Kerry is one of those people who can take just about anything in her stride! Her work ethic is fantastic, and whatever the day throws at her, she gets stuck in and finds a way forward. She takes real pride in her work and consistently delivers an exceptional standard of care.

But what makes Kerry such a valuable Senior goes beyond her hard work. She has built a real sense of trust with the team, and staff know they can approach her, speak openly and feel listened to. She’s always willing to help work through challenges and find solutions, making her a dependable and supportive person for both our carers and management team.

Kerry is honest, hardworking, approachable and someone we know we can count on. We’re incredibly lucky to have her as part of our team! 💙

💗 Emma

This year, Emma stepped into her Senior role, and what a fantastic job she has done! Taking on a new role can be daunting, but Emma has embraced the challenge and truly found her feet.

Already known for being a caring and capable member of the team, she has brought those same qualities into her Senior role and continues to shine. She’s always willing to lend a hand, support her colleagues and be there when someone needs her.

One of Emma’s loveliest qualities is her genuine kindness. She has a way of making people feel supported, and her willingness to help others really does make a difference. She’s a fantastic example of how compassion and teamwork are at the heart of what we do here at East Coast Care. 💗

Kerry and Emma may bring different strengths to their roles, but they share the same commitment to supporting our service users, helping their colleagues and making East Coast Care the best it can be.

Our Seniors play such an important role in keeping everything running smoothly, often doing so much behind the scenes that people don't always get to see. This month, we wanted to shine a little spotlight on them and celebrate the hard work, dedication and kindness they bring to the team.

Kerry and Emma, we see you, we appreciate you, and we’re incredibly proud to have you as part of our East Coast Care family.🥰

For anyone who thinks I’m either sat at my desk working or permanently attached to a football pitch… I HAVE NEWS. 😂⚽️

I actually do have a life! 🤣

Most of the year I’m basically a taxi driver with a bank account, driving kids to football, training, matches, tournaments and whatever other activity they’ve decided they suddenly must attend. 🚗⚽️

When I’m not doing that, I’m working… answering emails, sorting problems and generally wondering why I didn’t choose a quiet life with a houseplant instead. 😂

So what have I done?

Booked 2 WEEKS IN FLORIDA WITH THE FAMILY. 🇺🇸🌴☀️

That’s right… I’ve escaped the desk.
Escaped the football pitch.
Escaped the washing machine.
And most importantly… escaped the British weather! 😂

For two whole weeks my biggest problems are:
🌴 Which park are we going to?
🍔 What are we eating?
☀️ Is it too hot?
🎢 Who wants to go on that ride?
🥤 And obviously… where can I get my next Diet Coke? 😂

I’ll worry about work when I’m back.

Football can wait.

The washing can definitely wait.

Mum is OFF DUTY! Kids are fending for themselves here, chocolate for breakfast is ok right? 😂🇺🇸🌴

And yes, before anyone asks… I’ll be back to reality soon enough — probably straight into work, football and a mountain of washing. 🤣

💗👶 Congratulations Monica! 👶💗

We are absolutely delighted to share some very special news about our lovely carer Monica! 🥰

Monica welcomed her baby girl, Brianna Heidi Ruth Cotteral, into the world on 18th September 2026 via planned C-section. 💕 Weighing 7lb 3oz, she is absolutely perfect! 🩷

Mum and baby are both recovering well after a few complications, and we’re sending them both so much love, cuddles and best wishes as they enjoy this very special time together. 🥰

From all of us at East Coast Care, congratulations Monica! Enjoy every precious moment of your new little bundle — although we’re sure the sleepless nights have already begun! 😂💗

💙🏆 CARER OF THE MONTH – DANNII! 🏆💙

Well… sorry about the wait! 😂

Our Carer of the Month of August, Dannii, is clearly a VERY busy lady! It’s only taken her 4 weeks to finally find the time to leave the farm and come and collect her well-deserved gift! 🚜🐄😂

But honestly, she is absolutely worth the wait! 💙

Dannii is consistently brilliant in everything she does. Our service users absolutely love her, the staff love her, and she is always going above and beyond to make sure everyone is well cared for. 🥰

She was also recognised this month for the amazing support she gave to another member of staff — showing exactly the kind, caring and supportive person she is, not just to our service users but to her colleagues too. 👏❤️

We are incredibly lucky to have Dannii as part of the East Coast Care team, and she thoroughly deserves this recognition! 🌟

Congratulations, Dannii! 🏆💙

Well… 50! We’re not sure whether to congratulate you or send you a sympathy card for having to put up with all of us! 😂

Tim is the man who keeps everything ticking along, sorts the wages 💷, deals with all the important stuff… and somehow still manages to survive a whole load of women moaning, complaining, asking for things, changing their minds and generally keeping him on his toes! 🤣

You always ensure the staff are valued and looked after
And let’s not forget his other very important role… THE FOOD AND TREAT SUPPLIER! 🍫🍰🍪
Because apparently keeping the staff happy involves feeding us! 😂 And we certainly appreciate your generosity when the treats appear! 👀

You genuinely do look after us all, even when we’re probably testing your patience to the absolute limit! 😂❤️
