One of the key conditioning methods that most team sport athletes leave out in pre-season is training in lower heart rate zones.

Training in lower heart rate zones will allow more blood to fill into the heart, leading to an increase in the size of the left ventricle of the heart.

This will allow more blood and oxygen to be delivered to the muscles during exercise and will also help improve recovery after high-intensity sprints.

6 Month transformation πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯

Unreal progress from kyle over the past 6 months! I was lucky enough to coach kyle at kaizen before he left in December. After leaving kaizen he approached me to coach him online and he was the first person to talk me into setting up my own coaching business.

Over the past 6 months of training and 3 months of online coaching, kyle has made serious progress losing 20kg in total and is now the lightest he has been in years!

Daniel Shanks started online coaching 4 weeks ago with the goal of losing the "beer belly" and now the man is nearly ready to make a comeback to senior football πŸ˜‚.

He has made significant progress over the last 4 weeks, with minimal equipment at home and the training program consisting of mostly short bodyweight workouts.

Over the last 4 weeks, he has stayed consistent with his training and nutrition, while still being able to enjoy a few bottles of Budweiser on a Saturday night.

Looking forward to seeing the progress Daniel makes over the next few months!

Great Progress from Justine Lavery in her first 4 weeks of online coaching at shanks performance.

Over the past 4 weeks, Justine has been nailing the basics and keeping it simple, and her work ethic and determination are second to none! Justine has been training 3 times per week, hitting her daily step count consistently, and also hitting her daily calorie intake.

The nutritional approach undertaken over the last 4 weeks with Justine was to actually increase her calorie intake slightly, so that she could perform optimally during her workouts and have the energy to hit her daily step count.

Well done again Justine brilliant work! It’s great to have you as a member of Shanks Performance.
