A fabulous few days for Mark and the team at ! 🇲🇨

Collaboration is a huge part of what we do, so having so many clients, project partners and friends from across the industry in one place is always pretty special.

Lots of great conversations, familiar faces, new introductions and plenty of catching up along the way.

A huge thank you to everyone who found time in very busy Monaco diaries to spend some of it with us. It was wonderful to see so many of you!

Until next time, Monaco. 🇲🇨

How do you improve on a yacht the owners already considered “nearly perfect”?

Royal Huisman has now revealed the full story of the new 65m Aquarius.

For Mark, the project was a rare opportunity to design for the same owners for a second time, building on six years of experience aboard the first Aquarius and a very clear understanding of what they wanted to retain, refine and develop.

The interior reinterprets the character of the original for a larger yacht, with Mark describing the result as “light classic contemporary” with hand-painted finishes, swietenia cabinetry, crisp joinery and classic proportions.

Just as importantly, it brought much of the original team back together - Royal Huisman and Dykstra Naval Architects.

A second yacht shaped by a shared understanding of the owners, years of experience and close collaboration.

Wonderful to see the full story of Aquarius now being shared by Royal Huisman

Aquarius wins ‘Sailing Yacht of the Year’ at the World Superyacht Awards held in Venice over the weekend. As well as winning ‘sailing yachts 40m and above’ category.

The 65m Ketch was built by Royal Huisman and delivered in 2024.

It has been absolute pleasure being part of the design team alongside and Godfrey Cray as the owners project manager.

Our world sometimes gives us the rare privilege to spend small amounts of time with extraordinary people. HH The Aga Khan was one such person and we are very sorry to hear of his passing after knowing him for many years.
His grace, elegance and love of detail combined with a passion to push boundaries, inspired everyone who had the privilege to be involved to reach for new heights.
While he will be missed by many his legacies on land and sea live on.
