What a brilliant way to start the day! 🚀

This morning Lyndhurst Business Networking met at a fantastic new addition to Lyndhurst High Street — New Forest Off Road. 🏍️☕

It’s not just a shop… they sell off-road & dirt bikes (including kids’ versions), proper off-roading gear and accessories, and it’s a coffee spot and community hub for bike lovers. The owner - Adam Wilkes - is building a real meeting place for groups to gather – and has big plans for future ride-outs too!

We had a lively, engaging meeting with 12 brilliant local businesses, great conversations, lots of ideas shared, and plenty of energy in the room. Exactly what local networking should feel like. 🙌

Huge thanks to New Forest Off Road for hosting us — and welcome to the Lyndhurst business community!

For our last meeting of the year we gathered at Amanda English’s The Studio in the Forest - a gorgeous space located in Minstead, just outside Lyndhurst.

Mainly a Reformer Pilates Studio, they will also be offering mat Pilates and other fitness classes in due course.

Well worth looking into if you haven’t yet been along! There is a Christmas event there this Saturday - please check out her page for details.

October’s meeting saw us at The Heritage Centre in Lyndhurst at the late Barry Peckham Art Exhibition. An interesting introductory talk from the centre manager Angus Harley about the evolution of the New Forest from a place of wood production to one of leisure and creativity was followed by an equally interesting talk by Judy who looks after their archive.

Among the interesting pieces on display were vintage adverts, 19th Century trade directories and property listing details from the 1960’s and 70’s.

A fabulously fascinating meeting with great attendance and everyone had the opportunity to introduce themselves and their businesses.

A lively meeting this evening with 10 of us (who aren’t on holiday!) enjoying an early evening drink at The Swan, Lyndhurst, now a Free House under new management (Lee and Lisa Sainsbury). And very nice it is too!

Tonight’s pitches centred around ghosts and famous people we’ve met! Several of us are in a traditionally quieter month whilst most people concentrate on holidays, so we’re busy planning ahead for the Autumn or Christmas (😱) seasons!

Next month’s meeting will be on September 4th at Lyndhurst Bowling Club, starting at 6pm. See you there!

Thank you to everyone who turned up on a warm sunny day - 15 of us managed to squeeze into the ‘secret’ upstairs area, on a variety of interesting seating, for today’s meeting at midday!
Great to see so many local businesses with so much on offer, and so many events to attend, and fabulous to welcome some new faces! If you attended and would like to come again, please let us know if you’d like to be added to the WhatsApp group.

Fabulous meeting this morning at the Lyndhurst Community Centre, where 10 of us braved the rain at 8.30am for tea/coffee and a pastry and to see the facilities available.

Great to welcome two new people this morning - Jenine Timms (Loke Interior Design) and Hugh Bernard (Haunted New Forest).

Jenine can design beautiful work and home spaces, as well as staging homes to sell and offering pre-sale advice to home sellers.

Hugh runs Haunted New Forest which offers ‘Ghost Walks’ and other events in the Forest. Having followed his Facebook and Instagram pages (haven’t got to his TikTok just yet because I’ll get distracted!) we have now booked onto two ghost walks so far - Lymington and Rufus Stone at Stoney Cross - which we are really looking forward to. Wi******er may well follow!

The Lyndhurst Community Centre surprised everyone this morning - even the locals! None of us realised just how big it is, with 2 large meeting spaces plus one very large hall, in addition to the kitchens, charity shop and books for sale!

We were fortunate to meet in the Chestnut Room this morning, which was added during lockdown. A large, modern room with a huge meeting table and large LED TV Screen with internet access, this is a local space worth knowing about!

Our next meeting is on 3rd July at Furzey Gardens in Minstead at 12 Noon - we look forward to welcoming everyone who can make it.

Fabulous location with a lovely garden at the rear, directly connecting to some great walks. There’s even a special place to tie up your horse should you arrive on horseback!

We have since returned for Sunday lunch and can confirm all is good! Make sure it’s on your list for a visit soon!

Next month’s meeting is at 5pm on April 3rd at another drinking establishment - The Vibrant Tap in Lyndhurst.

Please mark it in your diaries now so there’s no double booking - see you there!
