Trusted mediator Jorge Mendes is the man behind Nicolas Gaitan's informal agreement to join Manchester United next summer.

Mendes has worked closely with United on a number of high-profile appointments at the club.

He was involved in the deals to bring Cristiano Ronaldo, Nani, Anderson, David de Gea and Bebe to Old Trafford in the past.

Manchester United could be back in Champions League this season!!!

Manchester United can return to the Champions League this season! FIFA has threatened to suspend the Swiss football association from the world of football, if they do not take action against FC Sion. The Swiss club has broken the rules of world football association (FIFA) several times, and therefore, can stop to play FC Basel in the Champions League this season again! Manchester United will play against Bayern Munich in the second round of the Champions League if clubs are prohibited from Switzerland to participate in European competitions and world football.

Switzerland could be suspended from world football if Sion are not sanctioned by 13th January, FIFA have warned.

Group winners are drawn against runners-up and the ties are played over two legs. Group winners will be away in first legs on February 14/15 and 21/22.

The return matches will be on March 6/7 and 13/14. Teams cannot draw opponents from their own country or clubs they faced in the group stages.

Europe's biggest clubs - minus Manchester CIty and Manchester United of course - will discover their last 16 opponents on Friday. Arsenal and Chelsea represent England.
