Looking at your energy doesn't just mean looking at your current contract. There are potential savings from previous spend, current spend and future projects.

Gary Sams talks us through one example of how reclaiming mis-sold energy was only the start and a business then saved more on their current contract.

Both these savings then led to budget being available to install energy reduction and renewable projects with further savings then realised.

Are high energy prices here to stay?

We've seen some staggering highs over the past few years but prices have come down. Is this really the new norm?

If it is, the energy reduction projects that may have been on the back burner could now be front mind. Prices are out of a businesses control but a large number can at least manage their consumption to lessen this impact.

Not all energy reduction projects or tactics come with a cost so it is always worth looking into.

Is retrofitting or amending energy systems a better option than gutting and replacing?

It's a broad question which certainly has nuances to it but there would have to be a very good reason to gut and replace a heater or unit that has been installed in the last 5 to 10 years.

We spoke about the topic with Luke Cronshaw from Enviroheat about this as well as a variety of other topics. Catch the full episode here: https://eu1.hubs.ly/H0cFypY0
