Being a PI Is No James Bond: The Reality of Life as a Private Investigator
Many people have a romanticised view of what it means to be a private investigator. They see us as dashing, suave individuals like James Bond, always impeccably dressed and ready for action. The truth, however, is far from this image. Being a private investigator is not glamorous in the slightest. In fact, it can be downright grueling.
At M19 Solutions, we understand this reality all too well. Based in the North-West, our team of investigators work tirelessly day in and day out to provide our clients with the information they need. This often involves long hours, sitting in cars/vans for hours on end, watching and waiting for that one little clip.
Contrary to popular belief, our work does not involve thrilling car chases or high-speed pursuits. Instead, we spend the majority of our time conducting surveillance, gathering evidence. This requires a great deal of patience and perseverance, as getting the information we need can take days, weeks, or even months.
And then there are the less glamorous aspects of the job that many people don’t think about. For example, when we’re out in the field, we don’t always have access to a bathroom/public toilet. This means that we often have to resort to using bottles or other containers to relieve ourselves. It’s not pretty, but it’s a necessary part of the job.
Furthermore, the hours can be incredibly unsociable. Many of our investigations involve observing people’s behaviour when they think no one is watching. This often requires us to work into the late hours of the night, or even overnight. We sacrifice our own social lives and time with our families to get the job done.
But despite all of these challenges, being a private investigator is an incredibly rewarding profession. We get to help our clients uncover the truth, which can help them make important decisions about their lives. We also have the satisfaction of knowing that our work can make a real difference in people’s lives.
At M19 Solutions, we take pride in our work and in providing the best possible service to our clients. So while being a private investigator may not be the glamorous job that many people imagine it to be, it’s a job that we love and are committed to.
