It's eleven years today since I started my journey into self-employment and what a rollercoaster it has been! To say my life has changed is a huge understatement.
⭐️ 2010 entrepreneurial life was building a few websites in my bedroom in the evening whilst working full time in a busy, full-on corporate marketing job and bringing up my 3 year old and 6 month old boys to...
⭐️ 2021, advising small to multi-million pound turnover business owners on the best ways forward for their and growth, managing international clients, regulations and budgets (whilst bringing up two 'Kevin' teenagers in secondary school)!
The last 11 years have had such highs and lows.
✴️ Some days I've been buzzing from winning new clients and other days I've been ghosted after sending proposals.
✴️ Sometimes my bank account has been bursting with payments and other times I've been wondering how I'll pay the bills.
✴️ There's been several recessions and a global pandemic to navigate for my own business and advise my clients through!
✴️ I've had various business names and sideline ventures, a narcissistic business partner, sexual harrassment, non-payment, disappointment, been lied to and ripped off, stalked online, copied, judged and trolled.
✴️ I've also been praised, rewarded, thanked profusely, headhunted, recognised, told I am an inspiration, a breath of fresh air, told I'm the best thing that's ever happened to their business, seen amazing results and turned worried people into happy people!
These events have made me a strong and capable person, astute and aware and one who seeks to resolve difficult situations for the good of all involved. I have realised that life is just a series of challenges to navigate through and learn from - and to enjoy the journey!
What can I say, it's been emotional!!! 😂
I am looking forward to seeing what the next chapter brings for my career in Marketing. One thing is for sure, it is never boring!
