Energy firms threatened with windfall tax.

The Chancellor of the Exchequer, Rishi Sunak has threatened to hit energy companies with a one-off windfall tax if they don’t invest in new projects, jobs or security.

Despite both Rishi Sunak and Boris Johnson stating their opposition for a windfall tax the notion has not been completely shut down as Sunak has explained that no options are off the table if changes are not made.

Although opposition parties such as Labour and SNP are in support of a windfall tax, conservatives are being criticised for turning to Labour solutions resulting in mixed signals being sent to the general public.

Today we are taking the opportunity to discuss productivity in our daily working routines. A study undertaken by SoftwareONE in 2019 found that office workers spend the equivalent of 30 days a year on their emails. This is a staggering amount considering that experts say only 20% of our email is essential to our jobs.

In order to tackle this, you can adopt the Only Handle It Once (OHIO) approach by deleting an email if you no longer need it, taking immediate action on high priority jobs and filing away emails that need time and consideration until you are ready to focus solely on that task.
