A pleasure to photograph Nico O’Reilly shortly before he departed for the World Cup.

It was a privilege to capture this stage of his career. It was also interesting to hear the stories behind some of his tattoos, each reflecting important moments, values and influences that have shaped his journey.

Wishing Nico every success for the tournament.

Another from the shoot with Ross Edgley…
Ross Edgley is one of those rare people who seems to operate on a completely different level to everyone else.

He’s the first person ever to swim all the way around Great Britain, spending months in the water dealing with salt sores, brutal fatigue, freezing temperatures, jellyfish stings, strong currents and relentless weather. As if that wasn’t enough, he then became the first person to swim around Iceland too — taking on ice-cold water, huge swells, volcanic coastlines and some of the harshest conditions imaginable.

But what makes Ross so compelling isn’t just the scale of what he does. It’s the mindset behind it. He has this unusual combination of physical power, curiosity, humour and absolute refusal to quit. Whether he’s pulling cars for marathons, dragging tree trunks, lifting impossible weights or taking on endurance challenges that most people would struggle to even comprehend, there’s always this sense that he’s trying to explore where the actual limits of human performance really are.

He’s not just strong. He’s resilient. He’s not just fit. He’s relentless. And beyond all the records and the headlines, that’s probably what stands out most — the ability to keep going when most people would have stopped a long time before.

A genuinely extraordinary human being, and someone who’s redefined what endurance can look like.
