A showcase of the talent across our age groups at Ynysowen RFC.

Father and son being awarded with 2025-26 Player of Year for both their respective age groups, Seniors and U8s, with Paul also being the coach of the U8s. His teachings are definitely paying off!

Congratulations to both, a massive achievement and testament to the hardwork that goes on both on and off the field.

As we close the door on a fantastic season, Saturday saw us celebrating the hard work, dedication and achievements of our senior squad this season.

Awards:

🏅Most Promising Player - Josh Williams (Ateb Groundworks).

🏅Best Foward - Corey Bates (JB Coaching).

🏅Best Back - Jack Forrest (Prolaser Ltd).

🏅Supporters Players of the Year - Adam Pyke (D&A Doors Ltd) & Rhys Williams (Squeeky Clean).

🏅Player's Player of the year - Jack Forrest (Prolaser Ltd).

🏅Player of the Year - Paul Jones (Timberline Construction Ltd).

Special Awards:

💐 Ruth June WìllIiams - Along side Skinner and Allen King have volunteered their time and worked tremendously hard to ensure our Lucky 4 Lottery is run smoothly every week.

💐🎁 Sacha Neive - Dedicating her time and energy to keep everyone on the pitch, often going above and beyond the requirements of the role.

As we look back on a largely positive 2025-26 season, please come and help us celebrate during our annual presentation evening.

Witness and celebrate the men behind the shirts and all their achievements during the season. With live music with the Superhans - Cover Band it's going to be an evening not to forget!

Well, how bout this fking weather guys! Met office saying this, Google saying that, don't know whether to wear our flip flops or fking ponchos!!

We cannot predict the weather, but we can predict 100% you'll have a f**king great day and the festival will go ahead, sun, rain or hail. The beer is on chill, the bands are raring to go and we have enough cover to keep everyone dry 🍻💪🏼

With everything going on in this f**ked up world, all the worry and anxiety we go through on a daily basis, do we really want to worry about a bit of rain too? Get your glad rags on, get out there and enjoy yourself! Besides dancing in the rain actually provides a lot of benefits! Physical movement, combined with the soothing sound of rain, can help reduce stress and anxiety whilst creating lasting memories!

Despite the rain the ground remains firm under foot, this could change however with the footfall, so make sure you come prepared and wear suitable footwear! As always you're more than welcome to bring your own camping chairs for seating!

Limited tickets are still available online and behind the bar in the Aberfan Social Club, but once they've, they've gone, we cannot accept any further entry! If there are any remaining we will be allowing payment on the door upto max capacity, but only if there are some remaining.

Touch rugby is back baby.

Starting tonight and every Thursday 6:30-7:30pm at The Willows Centre Troedyrhiw.

Sessions are undertaken by Grant Davies, ex Wales Touch Rugby player, so whether you're looking to learn new skills, social interaction or to keep the heart and lungs going during the off-season please come along.

Whether you're male, female, dog, cat, all abilities are welcome.....
