It’s good to be back in the workshop putting something new together. Here’s a few pictures of an ‘L’ shape garden bar we have been commissioned to make.

From raw material to built up article in just under 5 hours. All that’s needed now is to be dropped with the customer and stained to suit their new layout garden.

Things have been a bit up and down recently but it was nice today to manage to get out and get this custom built gate fitted. Made from treated decking boards this gate was custom fitted to the requirements. Fitted and finished with black iron furniture.

COVID Announcement

With everything COVID we have had somewhat of a slow down in recent times. Today we delivered and built 2 clothing and shelving rails made to measure.

Made from white pine boards, galvanised tubing and a reliable q-clamp system these clothing racks and shelving offer a versatile system which can be easily adapted to suit the changing needs of the customer.

Another recent commission for one of our customers.

The brief was for a chunky wooden desk with a scallop cut out for computer use.

Using measurements taken from a similar table in the customers home, we created the top from whitewood boards, hand planed and fixed together using hidden fixings underneath. The legs were made from 4” x 4” squared posts which were planed smooth and tied to the top again using hidden fixings.

The final pieces were cut and screwed steel pipe and flanges used to create tie bar supports between the legs and also offer a convenience foot rest position with the wood then stoned and finish sanded.

Another item that we have done recently. Slot together desk tidies or bedside table organisers. The one pictured holds a phone with the ability to charge it, a wallet, pen and keys.

These can be customised into any configuration for example the pen holder can be removed and a slot cut to enable watches to be strapped to it.

Something a little different for us here at Fabwerx. An upholstered short bench with box steel legs. Made to be light and moveable, fitted with foam and upholstered in a grey fleece material. Soft and plush!
