🌳 A little clearance makes a big difference!

The Rose Tree Surgeons team were busy today carrying out crown lifting works to provide additional clearance between this mature tree and the neighbouring property.

By carefully removing selected lower branches, we've improved clearance around the building, reduced overhanging growth and allowed more natural light through, whilst retaining the tree's overall shape and character.

A great example of how targeted, professional tree maintenance can make a noticeable difference without the need for extensive pruning.

Storms can have a serious impact on trees — and this uprooted tree is a clear reminder of just how much damage high winds and saturated ground can cause. 🌳💨

Even well-established trees can become unstable during periods of severe weather, creating a real risk to people, property, vehicles and surrounding structures.

If you have trees on your property, it’s always worth checking for:
- leaning or movement at the base
- lifted ground around the roots
- cracked limbs or split stems
- hanging branches
- signs of weakness following storms
At Rose Tree Surgeons Ltd, we can assist with storm-damaged trees, emergency call-outs, making trees safe, and advising on any remedial work needed.

If you are concerned about a tree after recent weather, get in touch with our team.

🌳 Is your tree surgeon qualified, insured and competent?

Tree surgery is a skilled, high-risk profession, and not all contractors offer the same level of knowledge, training or experience.

Before appointing a tree surgeon, make sure they are suitably qualified, adequately insured and understand the work they are proposing to undertake.

Professional tree care isn't simply about cutting trees. It requires an understanding of tree biology, safe working practices and recognised industry standards.

At Rose Tree Surgeons Ltd we are committed to maintaining high professional standards through ongoing training, safe working practices and responsible tree management.

The right knowledge and experience make all the difference.

A full tree survey will follow to assess the trees across the site and identify any further works or ongoing management needs.

Are you responsible for the safety of a school, nursery or commercial site? When were your trees last professionally surveyed?

Regular tree inspections help identify defects, prioritise remedial works and support a planned approach to managing risk around buildings, play areas, paths and access routes.
