With this recent cold snap we thought weā€™d share our Top Tips to help you keep the heat in and reduce not only your Carbon Footprint but your monthly Energy Bills too.

To reduce the loss of energy from within your home try these simple steps below:

āœ… Where possible choose lined curtains that hang from the ceiling to floor to help insulate your room.
āœ… Caulk gaps and cracks in frames and sashes to stop unwanted draughts and support heat retention.
āœ… Install manual ventilation such as trickle vents as an environmentally friendly alternative to air conditioning.
āœ… Maintain frames, seals and fixings to prevent avoidable weathering and breakdown of units.
āœ… Where safe to do so use/install draught excluders at the bottom of your doors.
āœ… Replace units that are steamed up and broken down.
āœ… Opt for energy efficient double glaze units for optimum efficiency.
āœ… Install secondary glazing which will not only provide insulation but aids noise reduction and provides additional security too.
