This one thought is what is keeping you unpaid because -

You don't market yourself fully
You hold back from talking about who you help and results
You don't make offers
It stops you having more conversations
You do not ask the bold questions in the sales call

It is the No 1 thing that I coach clients on week in week out.

20% of small businesses in the UK fail in their first year, and 60% fail within the first three years.

Managing cashflow and poor sales are the main causes cited because you do not prioritise selling activities they are just things you do, if you have the time!

If I was worried about my sales, here is what I would do today.....

💥Speak to your audience and ask them what they find valuable and give them that.

💥Have more conversations and make more offers.

💥Choose 2-3 avenues to market yourself and do them well for the next 3 months at least ie: networking, social selling, email list.

Temptation is to do a load of stuff from panic, just get very focused and intentional and consistently do those 2-3 things every single week.

Then I would rinse and repeat the above every single week for the rest of my business life!

I help coaches, consultants, mentors, agency owners who are responsible for selling and feel the weight of this on their shoulders.

Do I get days where I don't want to do sales, show up or make business decisions like a grown up...

ALL THE FRICKEN TIME!

That is part of being a human being - unless there is a job that pays well where I can get a decent body, eat crisps and sit on the sofa all day???

The most unrealistic thing people trip themselves up on is thinking they will be 100% motivated all the time 24/7 in their business and only when they get that feeling will they be able to make sales.

The issue with this thinking is the moment the fire under your bum bums dies out, even just a bit, that is when you think it's time to give up and go and get yourself a "proper job"

The feelings of overwhelm, boredom, tiredness of making decisions, whatever your flavour of thinking is, happens to everyone who has ever been successful at anything.

The difference between the business owners who make it and the ones that do not is their ability to accept things may be a bit meh or crap in the moment
BUT THEY GET SHIZZLE DONE ANYWAY!

It really is what we manage to do during those moments of sluggishness or demotivation that builds us into the strongest people ever.

This is me avoiding the gym this morning and then putting into practice the above going anyway and producing a PB of 80KG on the deadlift!

Success all whilst feeling a bit meh.
