Do you believe in taking risks? We all take risks to some extent, resigning from a job, to begin another. Moving home with the hope the new one will make us happier.
♡
Not everyone has the courage to make big changes though, its not easy! Fear drives us!
♡
During the past few months, like many of us, I have been looking a lot, into taking risks and how our brains are almost programmed to stop us from doing so, thus, reducing our own growth. Often, its the very thing we need to do to get out of this life, what we desire for ourselves, but our rather restricting brains like to torment us with adverse thoughts that block us from the very success we need.
♡
So, how do we overcome our inner OCD selves? Do we simply choose to ignore it, make decisions on the spot, then pray for a miracle that it works? This usually won't do it, as our minds start telling us to 'retreat, retreat'...do you relate?
♡
I've descovered a little trick, well an old one in fact! Many many moons ago...I was working for a strong woman who made hundreds of decisions a day, my teenage self was in awe of her strength and I asked her..."how do you know which is the right decision to make?"
To which she replied smiling..."I'll tell you a secret, I've no idea if my ideas will work, but I won't move anywhere, unless I try, so rather than staying in the same spot, I make a decision based on the best possible outcome & then make a plan on how I'm going to get there. Inevitably things won't always work out, but then I make another decision to get me back on that path...with that best case scenario firmly in my head...I keep adjusting the steering, until I get as close to the end result that I need."

In summary, don't give up, don't look back, that's in the past and you can't change it, even if you would probably love to do some things differently. Just keep looking ahead, have your goals firmly in your mind & work towards them. How do you reach your goals? I use a mood board...I have a screen saver on my laptop of my dream home, I made a list of my goals that I review daily. How do you do it? For me no risks = no movement!
