Our fully funded Business with Purpose Accelerator is designed to take you step-by-step from early idea to clear, practical next actions, with structured support throughout your journey. 🩵

Before the programme even begins, you’ll take part in a 1:1 diagnostic session over Zoom. This is your chance to explore your idea in more depth, clarify your direction, and identify your next best steps.

The main 1-day in-person Accelerator (with lunch included!) is a hands-on, practical workshop where you will:

• Explore and test your business idea in a supportive environment
• Build your understanding of social enterprises and purpose-led businesses
• Learn practical business planning skills you can use immediately
• Create a personalised action plan tailored to your goals
• Understand different social business structures and how to choose the right one

After the training day, you’ll continue with weekly online mastermind sessions to help you stay focused, build momentum, and connect with others on a similar journey. Sessions are recorded so you can catch up anytime.

And when you’re ready to take the next step in developing or registering your business, you’ll also have access to 1:1 coaching for more tailored support.

👉 This is a fully supported journey designed to help you move from idea to action with confidence.

At Junction Point CIC, we’re proud to offer a Level 1 qualification designed to support people taking their first steps into social action.

The Level 1 Award in Undertaking an Individual Role Within the Planning, Delivery and Review of a Social Enterprise Activity is a community-led, entry-level programme focused on turning local ideas into action.

This qualification is not usually open to the public. Instead, we work in partnership with local organisations to deliver place-based programmes rooted in community priorities, lived experience, and local strengths.

Participants are supported to:
🩵 Explore local issues and community needs
🩵 Develop and test a small social action idea
🩵 Work collaboratively with others in their community
🩵 Pilot their idea using seed funding
🩵 Reflect on learning and identify next steps

The focus is practical and supportive, helping people move from an initial idea or interest into real, tested action in a safe and structured way.

No exams. No formal presentations. Just applied, hands-on learning.

This qualification is particularly suited to:
• People with an idea or cause they want to explore
• Residents looking to get more involved in their community
• Organisations supporting grassroots engagement and social action

As part of Junction Point CIC’s accredited learning pathway, it also supports progression into further training, employment, or continued social enterprise development.

We believe meaningful change often starts locally, with people who care about their communities and want to try something practical.

Did you know there are simple, everyday ways you can be a changemaker? 👀

Something as small as buying local and in-season can have a much bigger impact than we often realise.

When you choose local, you’re helping support jobs in your own community. including people who live and work nearby. You’re also contributing to the local economy, which helps strengthen public services and infrastructure over time.

It’s a small decision, but one that quietly builds something bigger when lots of people do the same. 🩵

And that’s often what change looks like in practice , not one big action, but lots of everyday choices adding up over time.

Did you know that today is Global Accessibility Awareness Day? 🌍

So, we thought we’d share this episode of Chats with Changemakers featuring Ben Mushen, designer-turned-social entrepreneur and founder of the North East Support Directory, an AI-powered, self-service platform built to help people access support and services more easily.

In the episode, Ben shares how frustration in his day-to-day work pushed him to take action, teaching himself new skills and using no-code tools and AI to bootstrap a prototype in his spare time.

He reflects on the journey from idea to platform, the power of self-taught learning, and how technology can help social impact organisations work more efficiently, remove barriers, and reach more people.
