Social mobility sits at the heart of many of the QPA categories but the Social Mobility Quality Improvement Initiative is dedicated to shining a light on quality action that delivers results and changes the status quo.

Here's HIT Training's Jill Whittaker, speaking just before "SEND Flexibilities" pilot won the Social Mobility Quality Improvement Initiative of the Year award. This initiative blazed a trail for an important change to the apprenticeship rules.

It's hard not to admire Successful Mums Career Academy's dedication to supporting women on their path to employment and together, in partnership with Harris Federation they were worthy winners of the award for Quality Collaboration of the Year - Employability for 2025.

Our judges recognised how their special collaboration encouraged women to seek employment in schools.

Here is Jane Knight FIEP from Successful Mums talking about their award and what it means.

Earlier this month, our ‘Aspire, Apply, Achieve’ programme has been Highly Commended at the Quality Professionals Awards!

Recognised in the Quality Improvement Initiative of the Year category for its innovative and inclusive approach to apprenticeships and higher education, the programme empowers aspiring apprentices from diverse backgrounds through tailored coaching and workshops, helping them take the next step in their careers.

The initiative has delivered outstanding results in both retention and achievement.

Huge congratulations to the whole team for making this possible, and a special shout-out to the Degree Apprenticeships Outreach Team, Emma Chu and Jo Carney in the Apprenticeship Unit for their leadership and dedication in making this programme a success. 👏
