This is an exciting new role within a successful and growing team at Helix Hub, a joint venture company established by Brilliant Red Ltd, Helix Innovation Partnerships and QUBIS.

We require an Accounts Assistant/Bookkeeper on a part-time basis (22.5-30 hours per week), based in Newry.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a range of practical accounting tasks, working towards the collation, checking and analysis of financial information in a fast moving and dynamic environment.

鉁达笍 Main Duties & Responsibilities:

馃憠 Oversee financial management of the day-to-day operations of the company including;

a. All invoicing
b. Management of monthly cash flows and bank reconciliation activities
c. Purchase Ledger management & payment run
d. Sales Ledger management & customers account reconciliations
e. Production of monthly management accounts (P&L/BS) using Xero
f. Monthly & yearend PAYE/NI returns for HMRC
g. Prepare & submit UK VAT returns
h. Undertaking financial administration
i. Monitoring financial transactions
j. Liaising with managerial staff, colleagues and clients
k. Preparing end of year accounts for accountant
l. Preparing accounts, reports, budgets, commentaries and financial statements
m. KPI and financial reporting on a weekly, monthly and annual basis for the board

馃憠 Working closely with Programmes Coordinator and project administration personnel to ensure delivery in accurate and timely fashion of all of the above.

馃憠 Preparation of all operational reports to the Chief Executive and Board of the company.

馃憠 Management of the company鈥檚 internal tender process including scanning for and submission of all tender bids.

馃憠 Support event management for important programme events

馃憠 Work directly with grant funding organisations such as Innovate UK, Enterprise Ireland and Invest NI to manage grant and commercial claims processes.

鉁达笍 Essential Criteria;

馃憠 At least two years relevant experience as a Bookkeeper/Accounts Technician or similar role

馃憠 Competent experience using Xero Accounts (Quickbooks, Sage Accounts or similar)

馃憠 Relevant accounting qualifications (ATI etc.) would be an advantage

馃憠 Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel

馃憠 A strong work ethic with a willingness to take on a variety of work streams in a very dynamic working environment.

馃憠 Good attention to detail is essential with excellent organisational capabilities with ability to manage multiple deadlines.

鉁达笍 Duration of Contract:
The role will initially be a part-time 12 months contract, with possible extension.

鉁达笍 Remuneration:
The package for this part-time role will include a competitive basic salary and a flexible approach to working. Full details can be discussed upon interview. The salary banding is between 拢22,000 - 拢25,000 pro rata depending on experience, knowledge and skills.
