⚠️ A recent DVSA prosecution highlights the serious consequences of non-compliance in the transport industry.

Following a roadside enforcement check, an HGV operator was found to be operating without an Operator Licence, failing to use a driver card, driving without a valid CPC, and using an uncalibrated tachograph.

The court described the offending as "extremely serious" and a "spectacular failure" to comply with the law. The operator received an 8-month suspended prison sentence, as well as substantial costs and surcharges.

📋 This case serves as an important reminder that operators must stay on top of key compliance requirements, including driver hours, tachograph management, CPC validity, vehicle inspections and record keeping.

With DVSA enforcement activity ongoing, maintaining robust compliance processes is essential for protecting both your business and road safety.
