Chamberlin close

New kitchen, utility room and w/c floor prepped and under floor heating install.

Whilst we were at it we removed the old lounge floating floor to install a full insulation detail, not forgetting the all important air vents through the slab to ensure remaining floating floor is vented.

Then finished lounge floor area with underfloor heating install and screed to tie in with the open plan living space.

No better way to heat a large area and more economical with a lower running temperature over radiators.

It always helps having trained members of the team in house along with our own equipment to keep key elements of builds on schedule.

Property taken back to brick.

2 load bearing steels installed to alter layout,

External walls with internal render and stud work, including 50mm Celotex.

All ceilings removed, full insulation detail.

Rewire and complete repipe of heating, new radiators and boiler.

Kitchen floor removed due to damp, dpm, insulation and screed to include underfloor heating.

Remodel upstairs to enlarge 3rd bedroom and gain a w/c

New floor joists with restraint straps levelling the 3rd bedroom floor and giving needed strength to the old external walls,

New windows and doors throughout

Complete reroof removing the concrete tiles from rear single skin build and replacing with lightweight clay to stop roof spreading again.

Complete new drains and incoming water main.

Rear landscaping detail

After 20 years of being untouched we have lifted the property from a E rated on epc to a C.

Addressed all damp issues and ensured they won’t come back and given the property a new lease of life with out taking away its character,

Care home training room and landscaping works

1st stage of the engineer designed raft is finished of with it 10.9m3 of RC30 concrete.

With the trust of the home management we had been left to our own devices and instead of a straight path down to what will be the new build we went with what felt right.

Next onto 2 course of brick of the raft ready to take the timber frame and whilst the frame is going up we will prepare out front ready for its sandstone paving detail around the new path.

Brick and block work up to plate with the home owner being able to get a couple down with some help from the guys on site.

Flat roof timbers on and warm roof in place.

Just awaiting the incoming supply over from electric board and we can get the hip end truss roof in place,

Windows already designed and on order along with the steel beams for the internal alteration works.

New week and a new project.

After completing a flat roof rear extension and remodel in Hellesdon last year the neighbour across the road asked us for a look at one for them.

This project we took through from concept to planning and building regulations.

1st stage,
old conservatory’s down, which was the easy part with only a 900mm maximum access to the back garden for foundations.

That’s where Dan of MKM Hire came through with a micro excavator and walk behind dumper.

Old Foundations broken out and removed.

2nd stage
A total of 32T of material consisting of many lumps of concrete taken down the side, through the utility room and then through the garage we had the foundations dug.

MK Andrews to hand as with all limited access jobs sending us 14m3 of concrete up and over the house.

A few new bricks and a reclaimed piece of oak along with some creative thinking can bring to an area when the right team put their heads together.

The photos don’t do this project justice by any means, so pleased with how this area is coming together and proud of the teams efforts.

Referb and remodel project coming to a close.

Kitchen in place, just awaiting appliances.

New bathroom to rear formed in what was just a small w/c is nearing completion.

New w/c upstairs in what was a wasted space is at final stages.

Back garden with new Porcelain paving detail.

Bringing life back into a property which had been a neglected rental for nearly 20 years ready for a new family.

Another New one for September.

Remodel and redesign in Norwich

It’s not always extensions we do here at JNR Building.

This project we are

Adding a downstairs w/c and utility area by moving the kitchen into the dining room.

Knocked through the separate w/c into the bathroom and in filling both doors to allow us to cut a new doorway in to work with new design.

Taken out walling enabling us to give the master bedroom the cupboard space from the bedroom next door.

Part rewire.

Installing a sauna

New radiators throughout the property.

All associated plastering.

Installing a Wren designed kitchen and utility area.

Installing new flooring and internal doors.

New external drains and retrofitting trickle vents throughout to meet current regulations.

Great 1st day on site for some of the team getting it all ready for Bathroom to be designed by Mark from MKM North walsham and electricians to get stuck into 1st fix.

New week means new project.

Care home timber frame training room.

Start up works, setting out and dig out for engineer designed raft foundation.

New access pathway scraped out ready for shuttering and hardcore prep with a slight tweak from us to give it some character from a standard straight run concrete path.
